Presidr-rt Parisek then reporte<l that Mary Ziller had .ask<-d for the beards approval for the Girl Scouts to hold a campfire at the park. The h-ard approved the request with the following restrictions. That they pick a bare spot in the gra-ss, keep awav from the trees and brush anri make sure the fire is completely out bo- fore leaving. ,\ motion stating this approval as such was made by Mr. Parisek, seconded by Mr. Mackeben. All commissioners voted aye and the motion carried.
Next a discussion was held con¬ cerning niisunderstandrn9;s in making picnic reservations. The hoard wish¬ es to clarify that picnic reservations are for tables only, not for the play¬ ground equipment. The ball diamond ay be reserved separating but when the party reserving is through it is again open for public use.
The next order of business was the approval of the new tax levy. After reading it over thonoughly a motion was made by Mr. Ream, seconded by Mr. Mackeben to ap¬ prove the. levy ;is prepared. Upon roll call all Commissioners woted aye and the motion carried. The secretary was instructed to send one certified copy to the McHenry Co. Clerk and one to the Kane Co. Clerk.
Next a discussion was held con¬ cerning starting work on a sCiolter for the park. It w;is decided to use the plan.s and specs drawn up in 1969 by Everett Schflow. The board instructed the secretary to get in tiauch with Mr. Schflow and have him meet with the board some eve¬ ning during the week ending Sept. Continued on Page Two PARK BOARD

Families falling- within these .scales or those suffering from unusual cir¬ cumstances or hardships are urged to apply for free or reduced price lunches for their children. They may do so by filling- in the applicali|on forms sent home in a letter to p>ar- ents. Additional copies are avail¬ able at the principal's office in each school. Applications may be sub¬ mitted any time during the sdnOol yeiP.r. The form itself is simple to compplete and requests information needed to determine economic need based on the income and number of persons in the family and any uniLsual circumstsmces or hardships which affect the family's abilirty to pay for school lunches. The inform¬ ation on the application will be confidentijil and will be used only for the purpose of determining eli¬ gibility.
Under the provisions of the poli¬ cy the Superintendent will re view applioations and determine d'^-- bility. If a parent is dissatisfied with tho ruling of the local official he may make a nequest either oral¬ ly or in writing for a hearing to appeal the decigjoin. Mr. LeRoy- Marks, whose address is 154 So.
