$500 Silver Dollars Taken In Burglary
The burglary took place between the houn> of nnidnight and 3 a.m. early Thursday niornwg. Dick Ormsby discovered the theft when he was called to tow a stolen car which had t>een apprehended by the Crystal Lake poiioe.
Mr. Ormsby found that the win¬ dow at the side of the building, in the garage section, had been broken to gain entrance It was open and had been the apparent way of exist by the thieves.
TTie first thing that he saw was the fact that a small safe had been broken open and that 500 silver dollars were missing. Also miss¬ ing was the portable TV, which had been sittinjf on a window sill in the shoWTOom. The hot soup vend¬ ing machine had been pried open and the cash box taken. Two twrftlcN of whisky also d-sappeared.
Thciv wore stocks, lionds and other ini))Oi-tant papers in the small safe but they were not disturbed, said Mr. Oriwsby.
Crystal Lake police lieutenant, Jim Weidner, and Dectective Al Kruse. dusted the safe, vending machine and ether objects for fin¬ ger print.s. They found some on the broken (irlass of the window.
The theft of the 500 dollars'will cmount to at least (1600, according to Lt. Weidner, as they are worth at least $3 each.

Glaucomia is a lead¬ ing case of blindness in lIlincLs and is most often found in those 35 and over. If undetected it can even¬ tually lead to blindness. Il is esti¬ mated that there are 90,000 cases of unsuspected g<laucoma in UUnois. Giaiiccma may exhitnt no symptoms in the early stages, acccMXIing to Derrick Vail, M.D., a Director of the Illinois Society for the Preven¬ tion of Blindness. That is why H. is so important for tlhose over 35 to be checked for this disease.
