Congressman MeClory Visits Huntley
Congressman Robert McClory of Lake Bluff, III., visdted Huntley last Monday. July 3rd and had lunch with Republican leaders and friends at Bev's Village Inn. Congressman McClory is no stranger to this com¬ munity as he has been in Huntley many times as a Congressman and as a state senator previously to his election of the House of Represen¬ tatives.
Congressman McClory stated he planned to come to Huntley for the dedication of the tollway entrance on Route 47 in August of this year. He stated "I was promoting that when I was still in the State Sen¬ ate." He continued that "he hoped the tollway entrance would not change the appearance of Huntley too much. 1 think the small town heritage is really something very spiecial."

School Board News
The July monthly School Board meeting is scheduled for July 10th at 7:45 p.m. Bills will be paid after the minutes have been read and approved. Committee reports will then be heard.
Items of business will be ap¬ proval of employee contracte, cte- partmcnt budgets, aid for Jr. col¬ lege, budget hearing date and sum¬ mer repairs.
ICelly Sentencedt to Prison Terjokl
Raymond S. Kelly, 67, 48 Coral,! Huntley, was sentenced to one yearl in prison and a $5,000 fine for fil-f ing a false federal income tex re-l turn in 1965. He began to servel his sentence on luly 24 accordingi to the Chicago District Office off the Internal Revenue Service.
Kelly pled guilty on May 21 tol having claimed thtit his 1965 in-l come was $4,738.49 when he knew| that it was $16,511.28.

Legion - Auxiliary Joint Installation
The Huntley American Legion] Post 673 will have installation ofl officers for the coming year on, Saturday, July Sth, at 7:30 P.M at the Huntley Legion Home. This! will be a joint installation with Auxiliary Unit 673 also installing' new officers the same evening.

Mr. Purdom Is the son of a fonner owner of Don's Sutler Value, who sold the grocery store to Don McCullom seven years aao. They are living in Fox Lake until they can find a place to rent in Huntiey. Mr. Purdom hw been in the grocery business all of his life and is a butcher by trade. Muiy Huntley residents will remember him wben he worked !¦ his father's store. Since leaving Huntley he has man- laged National and A & P super¬ markets. Two new innovations at Sae introduced by Mr Purdom WW homemade pork saxuage and hoO^'^ made bratwurst. The brstwurat It' made from an exclusive recipe by a Mr. Anderson, a friend o€ Mr. Purdom. Mr. PunJom stated that his Scandinavian friend purdiased the recipe some forty-five years ago for a price of $3,000.00. The recipe is the exclusive property of Mr. Anderson who will not divulge his secret to anyone.
Mr. Purdom steted he was realiy pleased by the acc^tance of the people in 'our community.' He Is planning a grand opening in two weeks.

Barbana is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rich and lives on a dairy farm in Harvard. She is one of four daughters. Her sister Judy won the trtle in 1969. Siie has brown hair and large sparkHir^ green blue eyes, which teke in ev¬ erything that is going on around her even while she is smiling and carry on an animated oMiversation. She is 5 feet 2 inches tall.
Miss Rich graduated from the Harvard High Schocl this June. She was co-valedictorian of her dass. She is 4-H fed^at|oa preeSOent,
having been a member of 4-H for 8 years. She is a candidlate for title of 4-H queen at the fair Aug. 3. She is also the Harvard entry in Miss McHenry County pageant Aug. 2. On Aug. 4 and 5 she will be a candidate for the titie of Miss Teen¬ ager.
