April 7, 976. Huntley Police assisted the McHenry County Sheriff on Crystal Lake Road, in checking out a person who had been reported slumped over the sicering wheel, it was lound out that the driver was sleepy and had fallen asleep.
April 9, 197(', Police investi¬ gated a two car accident at the intersoctio'> of East Main St. and Mrytle Street, one of the driver.^ received minor inifies and was taken tn Woodstock Hospi'al by the Himtley Res¬ cue Sauad for treatment. The other driver w.ts arretted for Failure to YieH the Right of wav at a st.)r) intersection.
April 9, 1976. A high school student reported that his dri¬ vers license was tnken from his lockpr at schoU. Tbe Secre- tai-v of Statos office was also notified of tho theft.

Anril 11. 1076 Police respond¬ ed, aloncr witn the Hunfley Res- 00° Squad to a residence in town in regards to a burn vic¬ tim. The victim was in hed when his mattress caucht fire, the burn victim w;is treated and released trom the hcspital.
Anril 11, 1976. A car that had to make a wide turn to a- void another car skidded on seme gravel and struck a tel-^- phono pele which brcke in half. No injuries were reo irtod, and no citations we^e issued.

All Incumbents Re-Elcted In College Election
In the April 10 McHenry County ColK^ge election all in¬ cumbents were re-elected. There was no opposition for Barbara Pautz, Herb Lutter and Lee Schuppert for a 3 year term.
Henry Marlowe of H'untley staged a v/rite-ln campaign against David Murphy of Cai-y, who received 3077 to Marlowe's 479. Marlowe also received 452 votes as a write-in for the 3 year term. Marlowe's name was scratched from the bal¬ let a few days before the elec¬ tion bec'ause of a technic;ility.
The following is a tabulation of the votes for this 3 year term: Pautz 2402, Lutter 2237; Schuppert 221S. for the 3 yea term.

BRIGADIER GENERAL SCHWEIGER RETIRES
A 34-year military career that began with World War II combat missions as a bomber pilot ends in retireinenl ceremonies Sunday, May 16, for Brigadier General lidward V. Schweiger of 13515 Marengo Rd., Huntley. III.
The retirement para<le and reception will bo lield on the military reservation of O'Hare International Airport, where Birg. Gen. Schweiger has worked since 1950. His most recent assignments were as director of logistics. Headquarters, Illinois Air National (kiard; assistant United States property and fiscal officer; md supply management ofticer.
Born in I'rairie du Chien, Wis., March 24. 1921, the general holds bachelor's md master's degrees from Chicago State College. He and his wife (the former Rita M. Lyng) have five sons. Among the general's decorations are the Air Vledal with Oak Leaf Clusters, Kuropean-Alrican-.Middle I ast Campaign Medal ith Battle Stars, and World War II Victory Medal. He has completed more than score of military courses, but says the most unique was being "a pilot in a laval deck officer course conducted by the Army."
