Kathleen Pfaff, shown with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elden Pfaff, Huntley, is Mbs Huntley, and she'll vie in the Miss McHenry County pageant. Preliminary jujding was last w«ek with finals on opening night of the McHenry County Fair before the grandstand audience Wednesday night, August 4th.
ftUNTLEY'S MAINSTREET YEARS AGO
TROOP 167 RETURNS FROM SUMMERCAMP
Twelve boys from Troop 167 and Four boys frt>m the Marengo Troop returned from Northwoods Summercamp in Watersmeet, Michigan on July 10th. Adult leaders were Gary DeDina and Don DeDina. Dave Bjora spent a few days with the troop. The boys attending were: Steve Grech is, Gregg DeDina, Doug WiD, Roger Graff, Tim Swanson, Tim Randels, Quinn O'Brien, Larry Hamblin, Keith Dobrolinsky, Sc¬ ott Randels, John Moeller, David Seaver, Bruce Richardson, Jim Georgieff, Qay Malaker and Eric Malaker, Congratulations to the boys for earning a total of 51 merit badges. Steve Grtechis, Keith Dobrolinsky and Eric Mal¬ aker were tapped out for the Order of the Arrow. The Greased Watermelon contest was won by the Troop for the fifth year in a row.
A special thanks goes to Mr. Ron Randels, Mr. & Mrs. Quinn O'Brien, Mrs. Robert Seaver and Mr. Dave Bjora for driving up to and returaing from Northwoods, Without their help the week long summercamp would not have been possible.
In appreciation' the troop dona¬ ted ^10,00 to Northwoods Staff Christmas Party which will be held July 25th.
HUNTLEY CENTENMAL COMMITTEE PLANS
The Anniversary Committee ts working very hard to Complete plans for the big celebration of August Mth and 15th. Mrs. Kreutzer', Chairman, has report¬ ed that more help is needed on the publicity Committee. If you have a little Time and like to write please contact her and help out. The next three weeks will be busy ones. Many visiting dignitaries are expected to attend both days and will participate in the parade on Saturday and in the program on Sunday. The Courtesy com¬ mittee has sent our invitations to many persons and they ask that if you have family and friends that would like to come"home" for the celebration thaf you invite them and perhaps send them a program. The committee has asked all businesses to decorate their windows so that visitors to our celebration can view them. It is a good time for everyone to spruce up their homes and yards too. Get ort the "Band-Wagon" and help to make this a very succcessful event. Any questions pertaining to the two day celebra¬ tion can be answered by contact¬ ing Mrs. Kreutzer.

SCHOOL PHYSICAL AND DENTAL EXAMS FOR SCHOOL
Any new students to the distri¬ ct, and all students entering Kindergarten, fifth grade and ninth grade must have a physical and dental examination before the first day of school. Physical forms may be picked up in the High School Office anytime be¬ tween 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday thru Friday.
HUNTLEY BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING
The regular meeting of the Board of Education School Dis¬ trict #158, Huntley Consolidated School, Huntleyj Dlinois was held in the High School BuUding on July 12,1976 at 7:45 P.M.
Upon roD call the following answered present - Mr. ZUIer, Mr. BrettschnMider, Mrs. Living¬ ston, Mr. Zirk, Mrs. Simpson, and Mr. Ruth. Mr. Stading - Absent.
AVC presentation - Duane Gam¬ ble discussed upcoming Area Career Center referendum with October 2,1976 being the date set for the Vote.
Report by Derald West, Archi¬ tect, on the gym construction. Humidity is too high to lay floor. Holding until it gets in the tange
of 50% and declining.
The Board went into executive session at 9:11 P.M. for discus- , sion with Mr. Ed Seiler.

1 - A motion made by Mrs. Livingston and 2nd by Mr. Brett¬ schneider to approve of the minutes as read.

2- A motion made by Mr. Brett¬ schneider and 2nd by Mrs. Liv¬ ingston to pay biDs as presented with the Corrections of the Magill- Welkos bill.
