Arrest Made in Golf Course and School Burglaries Larry Lembkey, age 23, frcm 346 ¦Dean St., Wcxxistock, Illinois was arrested for theft over $150.00 om April 14th for items taken from Pinecrest Country Club last fall. McHenry County Sheriff's Police acting under a search warrant is¬ sued by the State's Attorneys of¬ fice searched Lemhke's residence and found items taken from the golf coulee as well as items stolen from the Himtley High Schocl. The search warrant was issued on in¬ formation given to the State's At- tomeyys office by Mr. Heih Jacksh, owner of the course. After the burglary Mr. Jackish issued a reward leading to the ar¬ rest and conviction of the burglary. He also hired a detective. Throu^ the work of the detective Mr. lack- isch gained the information and facts necessary to go to the Mc- H«mry Oiunty States AUomey. On April 19th Lembke was again arrested, this time for the burglary of the Huntley School earlier la.st year when tools and otiier items were taken. April- 29, and 7:46 a.m. (m April 21. The burglars entered an air vent on the north side of the building that leads to basement boiler room, there removing boiler room door by pulling door from door frame. The Hunitley FFA Banquet was held Friday, April 2Ist at the Con¬ gregational Oiurch in Huntiey. A crowd of 90 enj(>yed the Roast Beef Dinner prepared by the Wo¬ mens Society ar«l served by the Sth grade girls. The Main speaker was Alexan¬ der McArlhur, Chairman of the Race Track Commission of the State of Illinois. He gave a very interesting speech on Horse track racing, espe(aally as it was, and is now being conducted in Illinois. Presidemt, Bill Ruth, presented Hon¬ orary Chapter Degrees to James Schidtz and Hany Isenhart for help¬ ing the boys with their Ag plot wort. Bill also awarded Green Hand Degrees to Gary Botterman, John Drafall, Mike Hoffman, Tom Koh¬ ley, John Keams, and Tom Molitor. Mr. McPheron awarded the Chc^ ter Farmer Degree to the follow¬ ing James Hennig, Dean Landorf, Cnaig Miller, Mark Ostrander, Mike S<diweiger and Ron Hafferkamp. Open Houses Success The Open Houses at the Huntiey Medical Center and Pinecrest Golf Course were well attended, by resi¬ dents of Huntley and the surround¬ ing areas. At the Medical Center guests were treated to douglinuts and punch and coffee. They were given a conducted tour of Dr. Guevera's new facilities and the dental fa¬ cilities of Dr. O'Laughlin. The Golf Course open house w«s a sophisticated affair. Invitations had been sent by the owner of the dub to golf enthusiaste tiiroughoirt the Chicagoland area. The group was entertained by a four piece modem combo and treated to free (ham- pagne and hors d'ouvres. The new golf oourse aod modetm cocktail lounge with a paiw^amic view of the course will be the show piece of HunUey.
