Huxttley Royals Scores Told
On December 8, the Huntley Roy¬ als split a two ballgame event with St. Lawrence of Elgin. The fiftti and sixth grade boys won 36-27, while the seventh and eighth girders fell by 1 point, 55-54.
The fifth and sixtti grade team prevailed primarily because of a truly well-balanced attack. Devery Strissel hit for 15 points, Jerry Nepermann for 10, Mitch Parisek for 6, and Tim Ream for 5. Coach Jack McDonald's boys fought St. Lawrence on even terms all the way but finally bowed by a point. A key factor was that Huntley's high scorer, Bill Koch, fouled out early in the fourth quarter. Koch still finished with 30 points.

Mesdames Arnold Chesflk and Mazie Blott assisted in helping the veteran pick gifts for their tamilies which were wrapped and mailed by auxiliary members also the writing and mailing of Christmas tards.
