Pre- School children through 6th grade received a total of 340 doses of tho vaccine. Those children who were Immunized will receive a printed slip of certification. Dr. Frank Alford of Crystal Lake and Mrs. Audrey Korwin were in charge. They were ably assisted by Mrs. Terry Koppie, Mrs. Belle Os¬ trander, Mrs. Delores Ream, Mrs. Alieda Schmietendorf, Mrs. Mar¬ cella Modaff, Mrs. Alice Jordi, and Mrs. Carol Swanson. School of¬ ficials and all concerned offer sincere thanks to these ladies who generotisly donated their services. Thanks is also due to those parents who volunteered their time, but were not used. Within the next six weeks, a date will be announced for a sec¬ ond immunization day for those children who where excluded be¬ cause of mumps or severe colds. i^aienis wishing their children to be included in this second immtui- ization. please contact school nurse, Audrey Korwin, at 669-6108. This permit will en¬ able the village tho village to dig across state highways without pro¬ curing a state permit annua[ly. In the past, a state permit had to be issued for each excavating job the village had which cut through a state route. Individual contractors, however, will still have to receive permission from the state before ex¬ cavating across the atate tiighway: There being no further business to come before the board, the meet¬ ing was adjourned. Peggy Kunde Injured In Head-On On Wednesday, Jan. 7th, 1970, an accident occured on tbe Htmt¬ ley-AIgonquin blacktop injuring five people. At 6:15 pm., « car driven by Herdklotz 19, of 408 Blackberry Drive, Woodstodc hit head-on to a car driven by Francis Haynes 61, of 1503 Monroe St, Lake In The Hills. According to police reports, Herdklotz and two passengers. Miss Peggy Kunde, 20, of 215 Grove St., Huntley and Neil Bradford 20, of 136 East End Road, Crystal Lake, were driving east on tite Algonqtiin bla<;ktop and aiid m the pavement while going around a cttrve, veered left from the east- boiund lane into tbe westbotmd lane into tbe path of the Haynes car. The 16th Annual Sri- County Gnade School Basketball Tournament will be held at the Huntley Hi^h School Gymnasium, Huntley, Illinois on Feb. 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21. Schools participating in¬ clude St. Patricks of 8t Charies, St. Cha lea, St. Mary's of Wood¬ tock, St Mary's of Elgin, St. Joe's Elgin, St. Lau ence of Elgin, Huntley, Hamp hire and St. Pat's of McHtn y. Each sciiooi will have a S-6th grade team and a 7-8th grade team. Sixteen games will be played — eight Ln each Division. Games on Tuesday will i>egin at 6, 7, 8 and 9 P.M. All other nighte Lxcept Saturday the games wUl t>egin at 6:30 - 7:80 and 8:80. Games on the final nlgnt wiL be¬ gin at 6:30, 7:00 and 8:00. The Huntiey Lion's Oluo sponsors this event fvery year and gives away 8 troches. Also awarded this evening 6 oinference tiX>phie* will be awarded to the top three ^aces in each division. The Lion's Club I has claimed this to be the foifsast : tournament for grade school in tbe the.e are very good ing up in the area. School Board Meeting The regular nteeting of the Huntley Board of Educatton was held last Monday in the boardroom of the high school. Present were Mr. Jirik, Dr. Grau, Mr. Bein, Mr. Stading and Mrs. Thrun. Absent were Miss Vmckebvi and Mr. Bastian. A motion was madfe by Mr. Bein, seconded by Mrs. Thnm to approve tbe menutes as read, liie motion carried 6 yea's, no nays. At this pohit of the meeting, Mr. Bastian made hit appearanee. A motion wias made by Mr. Bein, seconded by Mr. Bastain to pay tbe following bills. This motion carried 6 yea's, no aayi. A motion was made by Mn. Thrun, seoooded by Mr. Bein to transfer $58.98 from tfae Edtica- tiooQl Fund to the Revolving Fund. Hie motien carried 6 yea's no nay*.
