Village Board Meeting
The Huntloy Village Board met Thui-sday Oct. 8. with Don Knstrom chairman pro teniporai-y in the ah- scnce of Mayor Wilpiit Brill. Miko Caldwoll, village attorney was given peiTnission to file condemnation suit on property behind the sewerage treatment plant for a treatment pond.
Chief of Police Richard Nelson spoke on purchasing a new squad car. He said that a car should not be kept mere then 50,000 miles and 4 grease jobs boforc being traded. He also advocated that a special police car be considered. The com¬ mittee will investigate at Ben Han.s- ford.
The water tower is being painttxl aqua  with black letters,  they  said.
There was abo discussion about painting the inside of the Villagi^ Hall. The color was not decided. George Hammond will do the work.
An ordinance to annex the Jackisli farm located on Reed Road and the Algonquin Black top was passed. Richard Cross represented the ob¬ jection property owners: Billy Ann Anderson. Cookie Smith and Naomi Cole who objected to the multiple dwellings.

MUSIC BOOSTERS AUCTION OCT. 18
Music Boosters of the Grade and High Schools will have an Auction on Sunday, October ISth. They arc asking for toys, furniture, tools, jewelry, do you have a Fibber Mc- Gee closet? Clear it out and help the Music Boosters. On October 18th the auction will be held so come and help. This is their fourth year. There will be all kinds of interesting articles for sale.

The new water tower is now being painted. The painter's scaffold may be seen at the left side of the pictuie. When the painter's are on tup the.v seem as small us kilten.s. When this pic¬ ture was taken (here was still a triangular spot of the original orange. Now tbe tower is aqua. The Village Board voted to have Huntley painted in black letters on tbe tower.
