July Parh Board Meeting
The regular meeting of the Hunt¬ ley Park Di-trict Board was held Wednp.sday, July 22, 197$ .at S:li) p.m. Upon roll call, those present were: Commissioners Piske, Deicke and Parisek. Ahsi nt wcro; Com¬ missioners lessendorf and Ream.
Also in attendance was Mr. Sche- flrw.
Ihe president then akod fi>r tli"; reading of th" minutes from the previous meeting of 6-24-70. Mr. Pat'i.sek, iicting as secretary, read the minutes. A motion was made by Mr. Diecke. seconded by Mr. PiSke, to approve the minutes as read. Up- cn roll call, all tommisioners voted aye and the motion carried.

Sunknter School
Mrs. Faith Cozad was the teacher of Math and Reading in the primary grades this summer. Perhaps the most intereslinq aspect of Mrs. Cozad's classes was the creativity allowed the students. Variou<i groups made puppets, and even their own filmstrrps, tn accompany books.
Miss Barbara Schroeder was Ihe director ir^ lower erade science. The emphasis in these classes was put on nature study an att«-mpt was made to really notice things in nature and to realize the creat varieties around us. Section B planned an aquarium. Section A planted beans and radishes in the classroom, plus flowers in front of the school. Section (' made a desert ferrarium, and Section D found plants in the woods tn make a woodland terrarium, which had two toads as inhabitants.
Why Tractor Pull Grows in Popularity
Years ago farmers prided them¬ selves on the finest team of horses, the most durable duo.
Today that spirt of competition and pride continues but attention shifts to tractors where every farm¬ er hopefully believes his iron steed is "the very best."

Livestock Auction at New Time: Saturday afternoon during Fair
Two noteworthy features mark the 1970 Livestock Auction at this Mc¬ Henry County Fair August 5-9 at Woodstock.
First, the Auction will be held one day earlier than has been the prac¬ tice in recent years and is scheduleil for 1:.^0 p.m., Saturday, August 8, Don Stoxen, Chairman says.
