The Lion's Club com- mmittee pkns to purchase the dec¬ oration Dec. 1st. The Huntley Farmside will publish a final list of the names of donators in next weeks paper, as well as reporting what the money was spent for. Thus far ov^r $300 has been con¬ tributed to Hie fund. The commit¬ tee has purchased a blue spruce tree for the west end of the park. 4'H Leaders Honored Sock Hop Friday A Sock Hop will be held on Fri¬ day, the 28th of Novemoer from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. at the Congre¬ gational Church Hall. This event is sponsored by the chapel choir of the church. The officers of the choir are President, Gail Eckman; Vice President, David HiU; Secretary, Bobby Sue Tessmer; and Treasurer, Jane Mididflm.' Tb«4#^ is iml^r the directioli «r Mrs. B«Ba Ostrand¬ er. Presenting the dinner were the McHenry County .,AKicnU»»« and Home Economies firte^ioiB Serf*' ices, assisted by McHenry FS.. In the salute, the 4-H Leaders were honored for teaching "skills, friendship, leadership, citizenship, perseverance, character, initiative and achievement." Henry Edgerton, executive secre¬ tary of the McHenry County Farm Bureau, gave the invocation. Dave Smith, assistant farm adviser, and the Extension Oouddls — Earl Schultz, Jr. and Mrs. Elmer Dom .. in passing out recognition awards. The list shows 41 first-year lead¬ ers.
