Supermsn^ Meeting Reporh^
The new stale law regarcfing county homes, which receive state and federal assistant will affect the Valley Hi Home by the year 1970. Howard Nehlig, superintend¬ ent of the home, who spoke to the board of supervisors, said that the hone will either have to have more room or cut, about in half, the number of patients in the home.
Nehlig said that there were three and four beda in some of the rooms and that there should toe only two in some cases, and that there were now about 62 inmates in the home now but that it would be only able to accommodate about 32 if all regulations wcio foUowtd, be¬ cause of the law's stipulation that there must be 100 feet instead of the former 80 feet required.
It 'now cos'i $167 a month for each oldster in the home and when and if the new requirements are met the cost may be $185, accord¬ ing to Mr. Nehlig.
Supervisor Olson, Nunda, asked if it would be possible for Nehlig to make a written report of the requirements for 1967 and 1970 to be road to the board.
Supervisor Freese, Nunda, asked if it was possible to take in peoplo who have some small means of support into the home and Mr. Nehlig replied that it was not the policy to take in anyone who was not indigent, oither in Lake or in McHenry County.
He also stated tliat when thp new law goes into effect there will be many of the analler private rest homes which will either have to cloae or reiT¥>del, because the law states certain fire protection and other regulations and that this would nxakc the cost much higher in these hotnos.
Stipervisor Edwin Buckley, Dorr, asked if it would be possible to have a speaker address the group and Mrs. Nehlig aaid that Lyle Paulson of the Illinois Department of Pua>lic Aid might be secured.

The annual Little Eight Varsity Basketball Tournament will be held at the Huntley High School gymnasium, Huntley, Illinois on January 25, 26, 27 & 28. Schools participating include Alden-He¬ bron, Central, Genoa-Kingston, Hampshine, Hiawatha, Malta, Richmond and Huntley.
In accordance with Conference Policy the location for the tourna¬ ment is rotated and Huntley has been assigned the event for this year.
The limited seating capacity of only 700 seats in Huntley's gym will pose a seating problem in ac¬ commodating all people who might desire to attend the tour¬ nament. Bleacher seats are not numbered, which eliminates ad¬ vanced reserved ticket sales.
Therefore tickets will be sold at the gate only. Students from ail school will receive priority seating and the student gate will open at 5:15 p.m. Adult gates will not open until 5:45 p.m.
When aU gyrniwainm yseata are fined, ^fghdiag^ iftohi offlyTicltSls will be sold until capacity is reach ed, and then no more tickets will be sold.
The limited seating facilities at Huntley presents a problem; therefore, this bulletin is issued so that all persons wishing to see the games are aware of the situa¬ tion beforehand.
