Annual "Slave Sale" Date Set
Mr. Dennis Kwain, F.F.A. Ad¬ visor, announced this week that the tentative date of October 18 has been set fortheannual P.F.A. "Slave Sale."
As in years past the F.F.A. boys will permit themselves to be auct¬ ioned at "slaves" from 8 untfi 10 in the evening on that date.
They will work a full day on Saturday, October 27.

Upon arriving at the scene the fiemen found the wall in back of the grilleabaze with fire in the ceiling. They extinguished the fla¬ mes, restricting the damage. Ex¬ tensive smoke dsunage was also re¬ ported. It is blioved that the fire started from grease from the grill.
Tornado Class ToBeHetd
Supt. Kelly of the Huntley Schools announced this week that a class will be held in Crystal Lake for five weeks, commencing on Wednesday, October 4, from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. on tornadoes
This class is primarily designed as   a   teacher   training   icourse. However,  residents   interested   in taking this course may contact Mr. Kelly at the school.
New Teachers Hired at School
Mrs. Gloria Thomas has been hired to fill the second grade tea¬ ching position left vacant by Mrs. Schafer's resignation this past Aug ust duetto ill health.
Mrs. Thomas holds a Bachelors of Arts from Judson College, hav¬ ing graduated in June, 1967 with a  Psychology  major.
Mrs. Thomas will take over her second grade class September 25, 1967 and we are happy to welcome her. to our staff.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas reside in Elgin, Illinois where her huriband is a student at Judson College.
Mr. Richard Bennett, also known by Harvard, Illinois people as Father Bennett of the Episcopal Church in Harvard, has been hired on a half-day basis to administrate •the new Huntley High School lib¬ rary. An assistant will be hired in order to have the library open daily for high school students from 8:00  A.M.  to  4:00 P.M. •    ^
Mr. Bennett/ttolds «t MMtceaJQtf'^S'^'' gre* plus seventeen iionnr in Lib. rary Science from Northwestern University. He has fourteen years of teaching! experience, five of which were spent at Grays Lake where he was high school libra¬ rian.
Mr. Bennett is married and has five children who reside in Har¬ vard, Illinois.
The new library will be opened as soon as books have been pro¬ perly arranged and a book check . out system devised.
