Boy Scout Camperee
Over the past week-end (May 19 21) the Huntley Boy Scoii Troop 167 participated in the aramal Kis¬ waukee District Sjprmg Camporee. •Wje enctsnpmcnt was near Cond Road south of Marengo.

Mom-Daughter Banquet
The Mother and Daughter ban- quest sponsored by tiie Mer.'s Fel¬ lowship of the United Church of Ciirist Congregational was attended by over IOO pei-sons on Saturday May 20th.
A delicious roast beef dinner was planned prepared and served by tlie men w1m> treated the ladies to an evening out with entertainment planned especially for them.
Mrs. Shig Fujimoto who spent jsome tin:*e last simuner visiting her native Japan showed pictures and added many interesting bits of information and humor about that countiy and her experience. Mrs. Fujimoto was attired in a beautiful Japanese costume which enhanced her natural attradiv«iess and en- l^nced \the au^ence, sspredic^lly the youngr children who were pres¬ ent.
Mr. and Mrs. Jon Merritt then entertained the audience with their folk singing to the accomoaniment of their own inslruments. Their dis¬ tinctive style kept even the small¬ est children quiet to see aoci listen and conduded a deli^tfti] ovening for those in attendance.

The mobfle unit will be operat¬ ing in Woodstock on Friday, Maf 26. from 12-30 to 5 and 6 to 8-.W pjn. Tt win be located at tte South side of the Court house as usual.

The Jtmk Car ordinance fathered by Supervisor Howard Ruth, Graf¬ ton, has been very succesifbt in ifdrihiK ttie yards and driveways of joak cars. It hae, i nefd, been so succwful that the jark ears arc plaauing the McHenry County Sher- iffitf in that people are apparently towhig tiiem to anyii^iere along (he roadside and leaving them. It is then the duty of the Sieriff to find out who owns them and to have them towed away. If he cannot find the owner he must remove them from the road if the yiMresent a traffic haznd. Tliese cars must be kept for 30days. "Bat where?" says Sher¬ iff John CaivH. He has three stored in the Court House paricint; kit and tids is causing a crowded concNtion there, it is said.
