Plan Misson Festival At Trinity
"Mission FestiT«4" services will be conducted at Trinity Lutheran Church. Huntley, this Sunday, Oct. 30, at the Moming Services, 8:00 and 10:15 a.m. Guest preacher for the day will be the Rev. Edwin H. Happel recently elected president of the Northern- lUinois Districtc of the Luthern. Church, Missouri Synod. Rev. Happel served for many year^ as pastor of Immanue) Luthera^. Chureh, Dundee, and more recently as director of Stew¬ ardship and Finance of the Nor¬ thern Illinois District of his church.
Special emphasis will be placed on a presentation of the needs and challengres of the total missionary program of the Lutheran Chnrch, Missouri Synod.. Since Oct. 30 is also Reformation Sunday in the church year, special choir music will give attention to this impor¬ tant festival. Vi«tors are welcome at the services.

The Huntley Police Department reported this week that Gene Meiser, 2S, of Hampshire was -fined JiOO.OO and sentenced tb" 80 ^iays iri the McHenry 'County Jail' for purchasing liquor for 5 minors on July 25. Robert Clemmerson, 18, also of Hampshire, was given a $50.00 fine and sentenced to 30 days in the McHenry County Jail on the same charge. On July 29 Huntley police picked up five ju-i veniles on a charge of drinking. Through the cooperation of the youths and their parents Meiser and Clemmerson were apprehend ed. After a series of continuations the two men were brought to trial on October 14, pleading not guilty to the charge. However, they were found guilty as charged and given the sentence mentioned above.
It haa been reported to Huntley police that restitution has been made to the B&B Service of the theft of used batteries recently.

Elmer Beinman, 21, of Fox River Grove, was picked up by Huntley police at 1:16 a.m. Sunday in A collapsed condition on the back doorstep of a local residence. Bein¬ man had recently been released from Vandalla. He was taken to the McHenry County Jail to sleep it off.

That date of October 27th has arrived and the Annual FFA "Slave Sale" will get underway at 8:00 P.M. tonight in the School gymnasiunx. Persons having jobs to be done about their homes and business establishments will be bidding for the services of thirty nine young men. All wiUing and able to tackle the various jobs to he done. These young men are donating their time to earn money for their FFA treasury. These funds are used to defray spme of the expenses of club membership is making trips in search of great er agricultural knowledge. The funds have been used on the ex- l^erimental plot planted soutii of the school building. They are man¬ aged solely by th6 boys and con- sriderable expense has occured as they develop the productive cap¬ acity of the field.
