The regulai^U5^*^'"8 °^ ^*^^ Grafton Township Board of Audi¬ tors was held last Thursday, May 13. Present at this meeting vv^re Supervisor Howard Ruth, Auri- tors Eggers, Schmuck, Keck, Road Commissioner Schachtner, Clerk Richard Enstrom, Assessor Welt¬ zien and Assessor-elect Boncosky.
The minutes of the previous were read and approved, the bills ordered paid.
The high point of the meeting was the adoption of the Board of Auditors ot a section of the Coun¬ ty Health Ordinance. This ordin¬ ance will enable the Board of Aud¬ itors to take action against sub¬ standard housing and other sub¬ standard conditions throughout the township.

School Board
The regular meeting of the Board of Education vwis held May 12, at 7:30 P.M, with all merr»bers pre¬ sent.
The minutes of the previous meet¬ ing were read and approved.
A mation was made and approved to accept the dismissa'l of Forest Campbell, effect as of April 21, 1»66.
A motion w<as made and approved to transfer $42.53 from the Educat¬ ional Fund to the Revolving Fund.
A nr\otlon was made and approved to acce|>t th« resignation of M«ry Little, effective as of the end of the school term. Mrs. Little is reitirlnfl, the B«ard of Education and the School Staff regrets this. Mrs. Lit¬ tle has been a wonderful person to work with and we are sorry to see her go.
A mation was made and approved to hire an additional teacher in the High Sohool, The Board is happy to announce that there Is a strong possitilllty th«t Latin will be offer¬ ed to our High School students next yeiir.
The contract was renewed for Leona Bunc^iard as Secretary In ths school office for next year.

Grau; Vice President, Mrs. Eugene Hardy; Secretary, Mrs. Ctwrrles Lamb; and Treasurer, Mr. Rtehard Johnson. The insla4taition was con¬ ducted by Mr. Will Carlson of Al¬ gonquin who is District Supervisor, He reported on the state convention held in Chicago recently and also presented our club with an award for showing an increase in member¬ ship. The dub voted to donate $300 tovmrd purch«vlng pitayground equip ment. At the close of the meeting refreshments were served.

Mr. Jim Larkin of McHenry State Bank and Mr. Ralph Greener of the Home State Sank of Crystal Lake were eleoted as Vice Presid¬ ent and Secretary-Treasurer re¬ spectively.

Proclamation From the Mayor
WHEREAS: The American Leg¬ ion and the American Legion Aux¬ iliary have for many years engaged in the rendition of benevolent ser¬ vices to disabled Veterans and their fam^illes and have taken an active part in charitable work with¬ in the community; and
WHCREAS: The Amerioan Leg¬ ion and the Amerioan Legion Aux¬ iliary hold an Annual Poppy Day on which Poppies made by dis¬ abled Veterans in Illinois Hospitals are dispensed publicly for the pur¬ pose of raising funds witfti wh'loh to oarry on their great work; and
WHEREAS: Friday May 21, 196S has been selected as Poppy Day for the year of 1965,

Five members of the Huntley Chapter Future Farmers of Amer¬ ica judged dairy cows at Moose¬ heart on May 13. They were: Ken¬ neth Kopsel), Craig Johnson, Alan Borhart, Ken Bakley and Vernon Tinberg. Larry Bergland and Sid Sherwin went along to assist with leading the animals. Sid Sherwin pVaced 5th in Showmanship. The Huntley group placed 9th in the group of 15.

Last Frldity evenln« ths HunHsy Sohool's Muaic Oepartmerrt pre¬ sented their annual Spring Concert of oora4 and band music to an en¬ thusiastic crowd of parents and friends in ^e gymnaaium of the high sohool.
In a setting of a Paris side^walk cafe arranged on the stage and with subtle lighting effects the var¬ ious nun«faers in the evening's pro¬ gram  were  presented.
The Cadet Band and the mem¬ bers of the High School band were seated on the floor of the gym, the Junior Hi chorus were on risers at the opposite side of the gym floor. A variety of selections from the semi-ol^assical, the Sousa style and current popular musical show mum- CONTINUED ON PAGE THREE

So far this year the boys have sold $216.00 worth of paper. If the S ton of paper gets wet, the purch¬ asing  Company  will not  accept  It.
Muoh of the paper stored at Sky. ett's is loose and, although the par¬ ents of the scouts have agreed to help bundle It, the boys of the Cub Pack need additional help to tie It.
