The Congregational Church will sponsor a holiday get-together for all single young people of the Hunt¬ ley Community on Fiiday, Dec. 29, in the sodal hall of the diurch.
This is not limited to college peo¬ ple, but includes those on leave from the service and aH unmarried young adults in the woricing world who are out of high sdiool.
Come and see old friends — just visit or try your hand at dartt>all. Refreshments will be served.

The C!hristmaB dinner at the Am- e"ican Leeion home Saturday. Dec¬ ember 14th, was an enjoyable aff¬ air.
The excellant dinner was served by the Lutheran Ladies Aid. After dinner, the guests remained for dancing until early mom.

The Huntley Consolidated Sch¬ ool Election for an increase of $.40 per $100 assessed evaluati.>n in the Educational f\md failed by a vote of 139 to 156 with 3 spoiled ballots. A total of 197 voters cast ballots in the election.

The first regular monthly meet¬ ing of the Huntley Board of Educa¬ tion was held last Wednesday eve¬ ning, Dec. 11. All members were present with the exception of Mr. Bastian and Mrs. Thrun.
On a motion.made by Mr. Bein, seconded by Miss Mackeben, the minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as read. A motion was made by Dr. Grau; seconded by Mr. Jirik, to pay the rcgillar monthly bills.
