Dairy Princess Contestants Police Report
District Legion New Officers
The McHenry County Sheriff's police report that at 2.30 p.m. on Friday, June 21, Miss Pearl Hemmer was robbed in her home of her purse. The police reported that Miss Hemmer told them that gypsies had come to her home on the pretense of purchasing a house. They spoke broken Eng¬ lish and prayed over her, then picked up her purse and tried to- remove a ring from her finger. They left in a late model black car.
Boy Scout Paper Drive
Boy Scout Paper Drive will he this Saturday, Juno 29.
All papers must be tied.
The Drive starts at 8:00 A.M. For pick up call 669-5751 or bring to the Village Hall.

Scout Biti^uet Notice
Huatley Girl Scouts held a Mother-Daughter Potluck Dinner Tuesday, June 11, at the Trinity Lutlieran Ohurdi.
Prior to the dinner, in a ges¬ ture of thanks, leaders presented corsages to mothers who had given assistance to the troop throogh¬ out the year. The following re¬ ceived flowers: Mesdames Jane Lane, Joan Pfalf, Lois Homeyer, Alice Jordi, Pat McMahon, Loma McCullom, Viola Zimmerman, Inez Bundgard, Mary Beth Manning. Barbara Roesslein, Marge Hughes, Marcella Aulik, Jackie Strissel and Marcie Kalsow. Ako thanked but not in attendance were: Mesdames Boots Parisek, Dodic Ream. Irish Jacobs, and Betty Lamz. Appre¬ ciation was expressed to Rev. Dr. Harm fo^ the use of the church facilities throughout the year and to tbe American Legion and Hunt¬ ley Lions Club for their sponsor- shio of troops.
Following the dinner, a program was presented consistiingt of a flag ceremony. Brownie song, fly- up ceremony, Jr. Troon songs 8"d Court-of-Awards, during which many badges were presented to jr. scouts for work done during the year. The program wag con; eluded with the motiiers joining their daughters and leaders In a Girl Scout Friendship Circle for thiSj singinir of Taps.

Coming Girl Scout Events: Jr. overnight campout, July 20-21 at Hawth<HTi Hills in Elgin, Brownie- Jr. Day Camp, July 29-Aug. 2, In Orystal Lake, and Jr. Troop Camping, Aug. 14-17, at Chapman Hills, Wisconsin.
Village Board meeting will be held Wednesday, July 3, 1968 in¬ stead of the regular night, as it would be the 4th of July.
Mobile X-Ray Unit Stop
The mobile chest xray will make its June visit to AlgcHiquin.
On Friday, the unit will ^te in operation at the dty ^afUiee from 12>30 lo 6 aiid 6 to 8:S0P.M.
Anyone 18 years of age or older may have a chest xray, aa w^l as children with a positive reaction to the tuberculin skin test.

Union Special Mat^ine Company at its Huntley manufacturing plant welcomed a bus load of Marines,, as- guests of the'plant on Wednesday, June 19th, arriving at 9:30 a.m. "Riesc Marines, most in their early twenties, were wounded in Viet Nam and are now stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital.
