The combined choirs of the Pirrt Congregational Church will present their annual Christmas oon

P.T.A. Plam Cookie Sale
The PTA will seU Christmas cookies and candies again this year foUowing the School Christmas program. These programs will be held on Thureday, December 14 for grades six through high anc4 on Monday, December 18 for Kind¬ ergarten through grade five.

New Policeman Now On Duty
Chief of Police Richard Nelson re¬ ported this week that RusseU Dean, from Waukegaon, DUnois, has been hired by the HunUey police force subject to the approval of the Village Board. Mr. Dean was hired to replace Larry CTham- ness who resigned from the force, effective December 1.

Boy Scouts- Give to Library
Boy Scout Troop 167 coUected and donated over 300 National Geographic Magazines to the Hunt¬ ley High School Library. Some of the magJtzines were dated as far back as 1917. Thee magazines are valuable reference material an<^ cover a wide range of subjects.
Mr. C3ene Lindsey, Institutional Representative of the Troc^, brou¬ ght the National Geographies to the school on Wednesday at a P.T.A. meeting. The magazines were presented to the school by Dave Schmietendorf, First Calss Scout. Superintendent Kelly accept ed the donation on behalf of the HunUey High S<*ool.
The formal dedication of the new Huntley High School took place on Sunday, December 3 in the inulti-purpose room of the bmlKfingr The dedfcafion was pre¬ ceeded and followed by an open house inspection of the fadlites fram 1:30 until 4:30.
A sniaUer crowd than expected attended the afl'air and there were many vacant seats. One of the guests of honor, Mr. R. L. Taze¬ well, McHenry County SupT. of Schools, as well as some former board members were unable to at¬ tend.
The invocation and benediction for Ule dedication were given by the Rev. Robert Frank, pastor of the Ctor^regational Church of Himt ley. Rev Frank said that he was "the Alpha and Omega" of the program.

Mr. Diriessen then presented the building to the school. The accept¬ ance for the school board was giv¬ en by Mr. Wayne Zimmerman, and the acceptance for the staff and students was given by Mr. Thomas E. Kelly, District Superintendent
The prayer for the buUding was given by the Rev. Frederick Harm, Pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Cliurch of Huntley.
A large American Flag to fly on the outside of the building was pre sented to Supt. Kelly by Mr. Har¬ old Doty, oommander of the Amer¬ ican Legion Post 673. Mrs. Donald Enstrom, president of the Ameri¬ can Legion Auxiliary Unit 673. presented a small flag to Supt. Kelly, similar to those which tiie Auxiliary has placed in each class¬ room at the school.
FoHowing the presentation of flags and their acceptance by Supt. Kelly the Pledge of Alligiance was said by all.
The high school gu-Fs Octette sang two selections. FoUowing the benediction by Rev. Frank, ending the formal dedication, refreshments were served in the muSti-purpose room.
General information on the build ing included the foUowlng: Buildinjr bond issue refrendum voted and passed Saturday, Novem¬ ber 21, 1964, in the amount of $350,000.00.
BuUding located on 27.4 acre site, 1.4 acre purchased and added to 26 acres owned by the district.
Driessen Ctonstructian Cbmpany awarded the contract November 24 1965.
Total cost of buUding $413,045.30 25,644 sq. ft at cost of $16.10 per sq. ft
Cost to equip rooms, $37,814.16
Outside expendtures to date $4,138.60.
9 classroom plus 24 additkmal rooms of assorted size including large Library, Multi-Purpose room, Study HaH.

Vehicle Tags Now On Sale
Huntiey residents are reminded that if they wish a certain number on their vehicle sticker, they sho¬ uld make ai>pllcration irnmetiately.' The cost of the village vehide sticker is $3.00 for passenger caFs, $3.00 for motorcycles (the smlJl metal tag must be attached to the cycle) and $5.00 for trucks.
P.O. Announces Holiday Hours
Postmaster Richard Michaelsen announced today that fhe post office will be open additional hours to accomadte patrons wish¬ ing to purchase stamps, mail pack ages, or transact other postal busi¬ ness during the Cliristmas mailing period.
Beginning Saturday, December 9th and continuing tinru Decrember 22nd, the post office wUl be ofien for business from 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., Mon. thru Sat.
On Sunday, December 17th, win dow service wUl be available for» stanp purchases and packages from 7:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M.
