Feather Party Successful All Election
The long awaited "Feather Par¬ ty" of the Huntley Legion Post is almost here. Saturday the 14th of November, to be exact. It is also the annual bazaar of the American Legion Auxiliary. This bazaar and Fether Prty is to raise necessary funds for operating ex¬ penses of both organizations dur¬ ing the coming year in order that they may continue their work in behalf of veterans and their fam¬ ilies. Therefore, your attendance is not only for your own enjoyment, but also a means of aiding the pro¬ grams of the Legion and its Aux¬ iliary.
This year there will be free sandwiches and coffee served dur¬ ing the courses of the evening. There are also merchandise prizes to be given away. The following is a list of the awards.

Church Dinner
A very successful annual all- church roast beef dinner was held on Sunday, November 1, at the United Church of .C:!hrist Congre¬ gational. Approximately 9(X) per¬ sons were in attendance at the four servings which began at 11 :.30 and continued until 2:30.
In addition to the delicious din¬ ner there were bazaar booths in the old social hall featuring home prepared specialty foods, baked goods, jellies, gift items, table dec¬ orations, wiiere one could browse or buy as one wished. At the end of the day most of the items avail¬ able were completely sold out.
Redshins Win
The Huntley redskins football team romped over Paw Paw 54-6 on the Huntley football field last Friday, October 30. Seven Huntley football players crossed the goal line to make the score possible. The statistics on this game were:
Rasmusem, 4 Touchdowns, 2 PATS; Weber 1 Touchdovra. 1 PAT; Enstrom, 1 PAT; Borchart, 1 PAT; Linenkohl, 1 Touchdown; Benner, 1 PAT.

and 175 by pasisng. The leading Huntley tacklers for the evening was Heimsoth with 6 tackles, fol¬ lowed by Benner and A. Borhart with 5 tackles apiece.
Huntley had 8 penalties, setting them back 60 yards. PawPaw liad 3 penalties for a total of 45 yards. Huntley made 17 first downs, Paw Paw made 5. Huntley completed 12 out of 22 passes, PawPaw com¬ pleted 6 out of 21 pass attempts.
The final Huntley football game wili be played this Saturday after¬ noon against Hampshire at 2:00 o'clock in Hampshire.

Approximately 200 peoipie attended the annual baa^Ml taaa' dinner held at the Fire Bam la Huntiey last Tharsday evening, October S9. A delicious chicken dinner waa served by the Celaa of the Untted Ohoroh <rf Christ Congregation.

Proposed School Building
The Huntley Board of Education has had inquires regarding reas¬ ons why the proposed new school building would be located near the existing school building rather than being built in another section or sulidivided area in Huntley. The Board considered various location in town in the early discussion stages with the Architect and dis¬ cussed these locations at great length with the architect. Two of¬ ficers of the Huntley Planning Commission also discussed the pro¬ posed location with the Board of CONTINUED ON PAGE THREE
Huntley on National TV
Superintendent Thomas E. Kelly of Huntley (Consolidated School was contacted by Mr. Norman Foster of NBC-TV to telephone the results of the presidential election in Huntley to NBC in New York for the Chet Hnntley — David Brinkley coverage of the electiwi. Huntley, Illinois and Brinkley, Ar¬ kansas results were chosen for the nationwide TV show, along with various cities throughout the mid¬ west.
Huntley fireman responded to a born fire call at the Elmer Cos- man farm east of Huntley on the Huntiey-C:arpent?rsvj{je bladctop. The fire started at approximately 10:(X) ajn. on Tuesday morning. Huntley firemen were first on the scene and were assisted later by the East Dundee and the Rut¬ land-Dundee depa estndan .wettrm land-Dundee departments and the Dean bulk milk trucks who hauled water to the fire trucks.
When the Huntley firemen ar¬ rived the 'barn was amipletely a- blaze with flames leaping high in¬ to the air. The heat was so intense that tho firemen had to don heavy insulated coats and helmets in or¬ der to get close enough to the fire fo combat it.
The firemen werc able to sal¬ vage most of the machinery which was close to the barn before the structure collapsed, spreading burning hay and grain across the immediate vicinity. Several minor explosions occurred immediately before the walls gave way.

F.F.A. Ne-ws Of Slave Sale
On November 13, at 8:00 p.m. the Huntley F.F.A. Chapter is planning to have its annual slave sale. Thirty-five boys will be auc¬ tioned to the highest bidder by Auctioneer Howard Ruth, in the Huntley High School gymnasium.
Entertainment is being planned by hceth earptn tiaa . .o, by the chapter and refreshments will be served after the sale. As in past years delicious homemade cakes, pies and pastries will be sold after refreshments are served. Plan to be with the boys on this fun-filled occasion.
