Legionaires To State Convention
Tbe American Legion Department of Illinois will hold its annmd Con¬ vention in Oiicago at the Pahner House from July 25 through July as, 1968.
The Legion Post No. 673 of Hunt¬ ley, Illinois has selected the follow¬ ing delegates: Robert Schultz, the new Poet Commander, and Donald Enstrom, Post Ad}ut«at.

Park Board Report
A nunriser at red markers are appearing at the Deicke Park In Donahoe's Woods. The markers are for a topagraphical siu:vey bemg conducted by the Huntley Park Board. When completed the survey will show the contour and geologicsd make-up of the park. Surveyors will not be able to comjriete the survey however, until the leaves have fallen off of the trees.
In addition to the topographical sur vey a boundery survey will be made A location for an entranceway into the park is also being studied.

Conunander Sdiultz has been se¬ lected by the llth District Sgt-at- Arms, Alvm Anderson to carry the llth District colors in the large, CDiorful parade ot the American Legion, whidi whids i^> the conven¬ tion on Sunday, the 28th of July.
The delegates will be accompanied by their wives, Mrs. Mabel Sdiultz, and Mrs. Fem Enstrom, who wiU be attending the Auxiliary's Depart¬ ment Convention at the Sherman House.

There were 175 entries at the An¬ nual McHenry-Lake Blads. and White Show held at the Fair^txinds, Woodstodc, <Mi Jidy 10, and spaa- sored by the McHenty-Lake Hol¬ stein Club. 4th of July Vandals Caught
Chief ot Police Richard Nelson reported this week that the vandals who painted initials on the Amer¬ ican Legions newly painted walls, numerals on the window . of the Green Diamond Cafe and obsenities on the back door of the Huntley Medical Center had been appre¬ hended. The vandals proved to be two giris who will be seniors at Huntley High School next year, lhe acts occiu-ed on July 4 duruig the Bakley Fireworks Display. At first Huntley Police thought the vandels to be boys, however attier further investigation tfae identity ot the two girls was learned. Upon con- frontmg the girls, an admission of their guilt was obtained.
The Huntley American Legion has not signed a con^aint against the girls. They will however have to repahit the portion of tiie Legion building whicb was defaced. It is not known what will be done about tfae damage to the bade door of the Huntley Medical Building as the -door was gouged in removing tho the obsenities.

FouMeen couples went on tiie tour of Old Town ^;>(»isored by the Young CouiJes Club of the Fh^ Ccmgrega- tional Church. A chartered bus left from the church at 1:00 last Sunday aftemoon.
A general tour of Chicago was the first order of business, and follow¬ ing that, the young coiq[ries toured Old Town. From Old Town, tfaey took another tour of Oiicago, indud- uig: Oihia Town, Maxwell St, Skid Row. Ihey stopped for dinner at the Marriot Inn and returned to Huntley at 10:00. A good time was had by all.

The American Legion Post No. 673, Huntley, Illinois, wfll have In¬ stallation of Officers fbr the com- hig year on Saturday, July aoth at 7:30 p.m. at the Huntley Legian Home. This will be a johit installa¬ tion with AuxUiary Unit No. 073 also installing new offlcers the same evening.
Legion officers to be installed are: Commander, Bobert SdniKz; Sr. Vice-Commander, Jack (}odd; Jr. Vice-Commander, James Manning; Adjutant, Donald Enstrom; Finance Officer, Robert Schachtner: Chap¬ lain. Richard Staab; Historian, Frank Parisek; Service Officer, Wil¬ liam Hubbe and Sgt-at-Arms, Joel Belden.
Robert Schultz has asked Alvhi Anderson of Woodsto<^ to be his hi- stalling offlcer. Andy Anderson is presently Commander of the County Coimcil, American Legion, McHenry County, and llth District Sgt-at- Arms. He is well known for his Legion activities. BM Pictor and his wife Eileen, also of Mdlenry, Mr. Wilpault BriU. Mayor of Hiaitley. and others. Col. Pictor was Robert Schultz's overseas Commander in WW2.
