Huntley Redskins Win 18 ' 6
The Huntley Redskin football team roumped over the Richmond team last Friday evening, with a score of 18-6.
The Huntley touchdowns were made by Allen Hejmsoth, who in the 1st quarter ran 22 yards, and by Larry Rasmussen, who in the 2nd quarter ran 35 yards, and again in the 4 th quarter made a 5 yard touchdown run.
Richmond made their one and only touchdown in the 2nd quarter when one of their players stole the ball from Allen Heimsoth and ran 60 yards for a touchdown.
This was Huntley's first victory over Richmond in all the years the two teams have faced each other.
The total yards gained were 285, of that 191 tyards wpre made by Larry Rasmussen, 37 by BUl Bor¬ hart, and 79 by Allen Heimsoth. Brent Weber completed two passes for 8 and 30 yard gains. However, (in two other j^asses, Weber lost a total of 30 yards.

Little League Ban^iuet
As for some years past, the Hun_ tley American Legion Post has sponsored the Little League Act¬ ivities in Huntley. The season has now ended. And in line with the tradition l)eing established the £ui- nual dinner to thank the boys will be given at the Legion Home, Saturday, September 21 at 7 P.M. With the boys who played and the coaches and managers as guests.
The speaker of the evening will be Kenney Hubbs, 2nd baseman of the Chicago Cubs.
Tickets may be obtained from the Little League Cwnmittee — Don Enstrom or Robt. Gruner - - or Call the Legion and reserve your tickets before 6 P.M. Friday.

Hotnecotning Activities
The unofficial tnntativo sched¬ ule of events in conection with the Homecoming activites is as fol¬ lows:
On Thui-sday, Sept. 26. al! stud, ents will meet at the High School at 7 p.m. to form a snake dance led by t.he cheerleaders. The snake dance will begin at the High School and weave through the Village St- j-eets and Square ending up back at the football field where a iwnfiro and pep rally will follow.
A special pep band will particip¬ ate as they have before, riding at the head of the dance on a truck, followed by the Huntley Fire truck with the football team. When the group reaches the school they will form a circle arround the bonfire Song and cheers will drive on the pep rally. A few short speaches will be given by the playej-s, coa¬ ches and others present. 'The pep rally should end around 8:15.

P.T.A Meeting School Board
At 8:15 p.m. on September 11, 1963, the 268th regular meeting of Huntley P. T. A. was apened by our new president, Mrs. Reta Hen¬ nig, with the pledge to the flag.
Minutes of the previous meeting was read by the secretary Mrs. Betty Rohlwing: they were ap¬ proved.
The treasurer's report was given by Mr. Richeird Johnson: accepted
Thank you notes were read from Dorothy Wasserstrass and Ann Borhart concerning their recent a- wards.
Magazine chairman Mrs. Barb¬ ara Emesti gave her report on the monthly P.T.A. magazine.
Mrs. Barbara Sherwjn, Member, ship chairman reported 65 parents and 19 teachers have paid their membership thus far.
Program chairman B4rs. Elaine Kelly explained our fund raising project for this fall to be a "Feun- ily Fun Fair," in the gym on Sat. Eve. October 12, 1963. Co-chair¬ mans for the Fair are: Mrs. Mary Jane Gruner, Mrs. Jean Britton and Mrs. Vera Swanson. CONTINUED ON PAOE FIVE
Meeting
The School Board of Huntley Consolidated School met Wednes¬ day, September 11, at 7 P.M. for its regular monthly meeting with all members present except Wjiy- neZimmerman. Mrs. Hoffman at¬ tended the meeting as an observer.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Fund transfers were made and apfffoved according to law.
The contract of Mts. Voile of Carpentersville to teach 2nd grade was approved.
Sealed bids were apened on the bidding for the used appliances in the Home Economic Department.
It was deckled to again aoUdt bids on bus bodies. Bjds to be pre¬ sented at the October meeting. LaVerne Jordi waa Mre«} as an asastant Jwiiter to replace Jim Fettes.
Bills were read and approved to be paid.
The meeting was adjowned. The next regular meeting will be <m October 9, 1963^^
