Sidewalk supervisors watch the work in progress to repair the street in front of the Huntley Village Hall. Repairs became necessary when the street began sinking and the curb dropping. A new base was installed below the street then that section of street and curb were replaced. The street was back in use by Aug. 28.
Village Board Meeting MInutesi
The August 9, 1990 Regular Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held in the Board Room of the Village Hall and called to order by the President at 8:00pm.
Present were President Dhamer, Trustees Wicke, Gow, Borowicz, Russ and Hoeft; absent: Becker. Also present were Attorney Kukla, Village Administrator Krauss, Village Engineer Schwegel and Police Chief Rossi.
President Dhamer, in the first order of business, read a letter of resignation from Trustee Becker effective July 19, 1990. After questions. Trustee Gow made a motion to accept the resignation of Trustee Becker, seconded by Trustee Russ and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried.
At this time. President Dhamer opened the Public Hearing on the Ludwig Wing Pointe continued from last meeting. After opening, he announced this would not be heard at this time bu't continued again to Sept. 13, 1990 at the request of the developer.
He went on to the Regular Meeting by calling for approval of the minutes of the July 12, 1990 meeting. A motion was made by Trustee Gow, seconded by Trustee Russ, to approve the minutes as presented and upon roll call, all turstees voted aye and the motion carried.
The financial reports were examined and thereafter Trustee Hoeft made a motion to accept the Treasurer's Report as submitted, seconded by Trustee Borowicz, and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried.
AU bills presented were examined and approved for payment by motion by Trustee Gow, seocnded by Trustee Wicke, and roll noted all ayes, motion carried, and listing of said bills is attached hereto.
President Dhamer read a letter from George Bernat of Bernat Development Company in which he submitted an L O C reduction certificate recommended by Baxter and Woodman; said reduction being $25,570. After discussion, a motion was made by Trustee
Heoft to accept the Bond reduction by $25,570, seocnded by Trustee Borowicz, and upon roll call all trustees voted aye and the motion carried.
The Mercuri plans. The Shoppes, were again before the Trustees. Attorney Filler was present as representative of Mr. Mercuri and stated he and his client were before the Board with their Preliminary Plan for concept approval only. He noted this was the same plan as reviewed before. A motion wets made by Trustee RUss, seconded by Trustee Hoeft, to reconsider the Board's prior action, approval or denial. Roll noted the following: Borowicz, nay; Russ, aye; Hoeft, aye; Wicke, aye and Gow; nay. Motion carried.
Discussion then ensued. Trustee Borowicz questioned the screening against the residential property. Mr. Mercuri stated whatever the Board required he would do. Tustee Hoeft then made a motion to accept the conceptual plan of Mercuri's,

President Dhamer called the^ Public Hearing to order at 7:45 pm on August 9, 1990 in the Board Room of the Village Hall with Trustees Wicke, Borowicz, Gow and Russ present; Hoeft and Becker
r absent.
The purpose of the Public Hearing was for a Property Tax Levy increase. The taxes,
i corporate and special purposes, for 1989 were 178,421.50, whereas for l690 are 241,000.00 for a 35,1%
mcrease.
President Dhamer called for questions from the floor and there being none, the Public Hearing was closed by motion by Trustee Gow, seconded by Trustee Russ, and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried.

Seedlings School Open House <
Seedlings School students participating in the office center program.
Huntley Park District's Seedlings School will host an
' open house today, Thursday, August 30th. Pansnis and
; children are invited to drop in between the hours of 2-4 and 6-8. During the openhouse, plan to visit our classroom, meet the staff, and see our new playground. Refreshments will be served. At this time, enrolled stu¬ dent forms will be checked. We still have openings in all
classes. Classes meet: MWF- 4 yr. olds 12-2:30 T.Th-4 yr. olds 12-2:30 MW- 3 yr. olds 8:30-11:00 T,Th- 3 yr. olds 8:30-11:00
Classes start on Tuesday, Sept: 4th.
Seedlings School is a developmentally oriented preschool. This year we have added a Hands-on-Math program for both ag:e groups and "Let's Find Out" for the 4 year Qlds. , '
Pediatric CPR Class At HFPD
Huntley Fire & Rescue will hold a Pediatric CPR Class in Station #1 on September 13th at 6:00pm. Many people have request HFPD to hold this special class which teaches how to perform CPR on infants and children. To register call the station at 669-5066.
