HFPD/EMS Open House A Great Success
You're never too young to learn good health habits as paramedics offered free blood pressure checks at their Open House, May 15th.

Huntley Fire Protection District's (HFPD) Emegency Medical Services (EMS) consider their first Open House, held Wednesday evening, May IS, a great success.

Huntley Observes Memorial Day
This year. Memorial Day is observed on Monday, May 27. Schools, banks, government ofCces and many businesses will be closed that day. Huntley will celebrate with a Parade and several ceremonies taking place in the area.
The following is a schedule of events as known at press time.

Webelos Earn Forestry Badge
The fourth grade Webelos Cub Scouts recently earned their Forestry Badge during an afternoon at Coral Woods Forest Preserve with Forester Ed Hedge. Park District Holds Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting of the Huntley Park District was called to order by Secretary Parisek at 9:15 P.M. on Wednesday, April 24, 1991.
Sandra Wright and Robert Tures were sworn in by the Secretary to begin their six year terms as Park Commissioners.
Roll call was answered by Commissioners Knott, Borchart, Yerke, Wright and Tures, Attorney Cowlin and Mrs. Warrington.
Secretary Parisek asked for nominations for chairperson
for this meeting. Mr. Yerke was nominated by Mr. Knott and seconded by Mr. Borchart and chosen by all.
Chairperson Yerke called to nominations for President. Mr. Knott was nominated by Mr. Borchart, seconded by Mr. Tures and received a unani¬ mous ballot.
For Vice President, Mr. Borchart nominated Mr. Yerke, second by Mr. Knott. He also received a unanimous ballot.
President Knott took charge of the meeting and appointed the following committee
chairpersons:
Borchart-Buildings
Tures-Maintenance
Knott-Recreation ic Equipment
Yerke-Insurance ic Safety
Wright-Legal ic Finance
A motion to retain the legal services of John Cowlin and his Hrm was made by Mr. Knott, seconded by Mr. Borchart. All voted aye and the motion carried.
Mr. Knott made a motion to continue the services of the auditors, Yapelli-Ketchmark, seconded by Mr. Borchart. All
ayes and the motion carried.
A motion to rehire Paul Ostrander as maintenance director was made by Mr. Knott, seconded by Mrs. Wright. All voted aye and the motion carried.
A motion to retain Betsey Warrington as recreation director was made by Mr. Yerke, seconded by Mr. Borchart. All ayes and the motion carried.
A motion to re-appoint Lois Parisek as Secretary and Treasurer was made by Mr. Borchart, seconded by Mr.
Yerke. All ayes and the motion carried.
With a motion by Mr. Knott and a second by Mr. Borchart, the board held an executive session. At 10:10 it ended with a motion by Mr. Borchart and second by Mr. Tures.
A motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Knott, seconded by Mrs. Wright. The meeting was adjourned at 10:15 P.M.
