Another Anti-Dump Rally To Happen At LITH Village Hall ~
The Landfill Emergency Action Committee II (LEAC II) announces an anti-dump rally will take place on Thursday evening at 6:30pm, at the Lake-In-The-Hills Town Hall. The citizens of LITH have organized this event. The public is urged to attend to let their feelings be known. Raindate is same time Friday.
About 75 citizens from Huntley, Lakewood and LITH protested at the LITH airport Monday morning before the 6th day of the landfill hearings currently taking place there. Young and old were there with signs, large and small, sometimes chanting, "NO DUMP! NO DUMP!" LITH Village Board is holding the hearings to decide if a balefill'will be sited on Rt. 47, two miles north of Huntley.
