Many young men and old, choose this time to propose marriage and undying love to a special lady. Once the holidays are over these lucky ladies fmd themselves beginning the task of planning a wedding.
Beverly Lavertu of Huntley, is ready to help these future brides' make their day a beautiful success. Lavertu who calls her business The Bridal Blush, is a designer and consultant of bridal silk floral fashions. She can create a wide array of silk florals from bridal headpieces, bouquets and veils to bridal album, cake tops and table centerpieces.
Lavertu who came to Huntley in May, 1991, works out of her home on Carl Street. She
says that she likes to work with brides on a one-to-one consultant basis emphasizing she can create any color, any type of floral piece requested. All her work is hand-made by herself.
Lavertu prides herself in her creative service. She will pin pieces together, adding and removing elements, until she and the bride And just the right combination.
Lavertu stresses she is very budget focused. She does not entice her customers into things they cannot afford. She feels every bride, first time or fifth, should have a flower in her hair and something to carry down the aisle. Lavertu says no matter how poor, she and the bride can find something within her budget.
Lavertu began working in this kind of business five years ago in New Jersey. She

Huntley Harvestors Receive Awards At McHenry County 4-H Banquet^

The McHenry Co. 4-H Youth Foundation held its recognition banquet at Andre's Steak House in Richmond on November 2, 1991.
A delicious dinner was served to over 300 4-H members and leaders, after which the awards were given to the outstanding achievers.
Leader certificates and pins were presented to first, fifth, tenth, fifteen, and twenty-five year leaders. Elmer and Rae Meyer of Huntley were recognized for 25 years of volunteer service to the Huntley Harvestors 4-H
club and to the McHenry County 4-H program.
Grand Ambassador Award were received by Jodi Manke in an alumni pin as were Brett Berghorn and April Riedl.
Service Achievement Excellence Awards were received by Scott Dvorak, Steve Morzos, Amie Reed and Laura Kohley. Other awards:
Clothing Award was received by Kerstin Tures.
Dairy Award went to Peter Morzos.
Food and Nutrition Awards went to Scott Dvorak, Blue Award; Laura Kohley, Scott
Steir, Susan Steir and Dawn Vlerch.
Food Preservation Award went to Amie Reed.
Gardening Award went to Kristen Sunderlage.
Poultry Blue Award went to Steve Morzos.
Rabbit Award went to Amie Reed.
Wood Science Award went to Loran Lilly.
The 1991 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl Team and Dairy Conference Awards went to Brian Wesemann of Huntley Harvestors.
