Seniors In Full Swing This Summer A combined class reunion of Huntley High School graduates from the Classes of 1948-1952 will be held on Saturday, July 27th at Coleman's Restaurant in Crystal Lake. This is the 40th anniversary for the 1951 Class and it was decided to include more classes for the event. Former faculty members planning to be in attendance are: Marie (Kreutzer] Caranci, May Chesak, Frances Crowley, Jean (Pooler) Huntley Harvestors retiring 4-H leaders received plaques at the Huntley Harvestors 65th Anniversary party, June 30. Retiring leaders are (1 to r) Bill & Rosemary Becker for 15 years and Rae & Elmer Meyer for 25 years of service. Huntley, Union Students Graduate From MCC The following area students received their associate degrees from McHenry County College in May: Susan Hansen, A.S., Troy Keesling, A.S., Nancy Kohley, A.S., Susan Lamb, Cert, in Basic Nurse Asst., Chad Newton, Cert, in Electronics Engineering Technology, Sherri Ottley, A.S., Marlene Sances, A.A.S. in Accounting, April Schroeder, A.S., Mark Wanker, A.S., Phyllis Wiesneth, Cert, in Accounting, and Larry DeMumbrum, Cert, in Electronics Engineering Technology. Library Board Meets The Huntley Area Library Board met on June 13, 1991 at 7pm at the Huntley Park District building. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Ruth, president. Present: Borhart, Crabill, Kohley, Ruth, Sheets, Thompson. Guest: B. Mueller. Sheets moved, Kohley seconded to accept the May minutes as written. Yeas: Sheets, Kohley, Borhart, Crabill. Nays: none. Motion carried. Kohley moved, Sheets seconded to approve the payments of bills and treasurer's report. Yeas: Kohley, Sheets, Borhart, Reservations must be made by July 18th for the Senior Citizen Club "Picnic in the Park" on July 25th. Available for members only the cost of only $3 should be paid to Alice Jordi by July 18th. The seniors will be selling raffle tickets for two dolls made by Louise Bakley and Alice Rendl to be raffled at, the July picnic. You can purchase tickets at the State Bank of Huntley on July 12th and 13th or from a Senior Citizen Club Member. Only 13 seats are available for the Nashville trip on Oct. 3-6. The trip costs $325.00 per person. Call Alice Jordi 669-5643. If you missed this trip, don't miss the next one on August 12th to Old World Wisconsin. There are 10 seats available at a cost of $8 each. Call Alice Jordi 669-5643 to reserve. Davison, Guy Leighton, Helen Marlowe (Henry Marlowe), Jean (Zenk) Rudloff, Maureen (Shuett) Van Ness and former Superintendent, Frank Hendricks. Others who have been contacted may also be responding. Members of other classes who would like to visit with these fondly remembered faculty members are cordially invited to the party after the dinner hour at approximately 9pm. Staadt, Spiniolas Named Lion, Lioness Of Year!— Presenting Chuck Staadt as Lion of the Year and Robin Spinolas as Lioness of the Year. Crabill. Nays: none. Motion carried. Committee reports: Policies/By-Laws: Sheets moved, Kohley seconded to go with a local government insurance program effective July 1. Yeas: Sheets, Kohley, Borhart, Crabill. Nays: none. Motion carried. Drendel entered meeting. Old Business: Board members discussed the open meeting act pertaining to committee meetings. New Business: J. Thompson, librarian, presented the proposed budget. The budget was discussed. A public hearing on the tentative budget will be held at Spm, July 17, at the Huntley Park District building. Thompson began issuing library cards on June 13. Cards were issued at the meeting to Thompson and board members. Drendel moved, Borhart seconded to adjourn the meeting. Yeas: 6 Nays: 0.
