Students Celebrate Prom Week

These twelve Seniors are the 1991 Prom Court for Huntley High. One guy and one gal from them will be elected Prom King and Queen. Huntley High Student Council proclaimed May 6-lOth as Spirit Week in celebration of the Junior/Senior Prom which happens this Friday, May 10th 6:30-11pm at the Hob Nob n in Crystal Lake.
Each day this week students dressed up for a different
theme including Cartoons, Hippie/60's, Beach, Drug Awareness and Slob themes.
In addition, students elected a Prom King and Queen yesterday from the Prom Court (pictured above). As of this printing the results are unknown.
The Junior/Senior Prom Theme this year is "We Can Last Forever." Students will enjoy formal picture taking, a buffet dinner and dancing to the "Huskies." Coronation of the Prom King and Queen will happen about 10pm at the dance.
Sherman Hospital Honors Dave Veath
Huntley Fire Chief Dave Veath is one of eight paramedics being honored by Sherman Hospital for 15 years of service, during Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, May 12-18. A buffet dinner and program honoring Emergency Medical Technicians and paramedics are planned for May 16 at the Days Inn, .
Elgin.
Emergency Medical Services Week is sponsored by the American College of Emergency Physicians and local hospitals to promote the advances of emergency medicine and to recognize contributions of the Emergency Medical Service team.
Huntley Fire Chief David Veath is one of eight paramedics being honored by Sherman Hospital for 15 years of service.
Five Join Senior Citizen's Club
Pictured left are four of the five new members that have joined the Senior Citizen's Club; Louise and Clyde Bakley, Ruth Radloff and Marie Bridwell. Mary Lou Hardy, also a new member, was not present when the picture was taken.
Trinity Celebrates New Organ With Music
A special Pentecost celebration of music will take place at Trinity in the sanctuary on Sunday, May 19, at 3:00pm. The central feature of the concert will be the new organ that Trinity has purchased, the Trinity Choir, Hand Bells, other instruments and visiting Pastor Glen Borhart will
sign a few hymns for us.
Features of the concert will be a medley of favorite hynrns such as Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art, and others. Several other church choirs have been invited to sing with Trinity's choir.
Take the opportunity to join in this special event.
