SERVING THE PEOPLE OF HUNTLEY SINCE 1960 t!Dl)t JHuntlep Snxm^M HUNTLEY, ILLINOIS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19. 1991 - VOLUME 31, NUMBER 22 USPS 580-360 Town Square Planting Complete Girl Cousins Born Within Same Half Hour The planting is completed for the original plan of the Town Square Beautification Project by Huntley Park District. Donations have been made by Dhamer Trucking, the Jim Dhamer Family, St. Mary's Church, the Hansen Family, In Memory Of Edna Hansen, Huntley Area Jaycees, Huntley Lioness, Dr. Clare Legursky, Matt Tures Sons Nursery, Brownie Troop 220, Prime Group, Landmark Developers, Cowlin, Ungvarsky & Curran and Stonegate Nursery. If you would still like to make a donation, please contact the Park District at 669-3180. Additional plans for more improvements are being made. Vandals Damage Local Parks There has been a lot of vandalism in all of the town's parks this summer. You may have noticed broken plants in the Town Square, a broken slide at Ol'Timer's Park, tether balls stolen, and fires being attempted in the washrooms, among others. If you see anyone vandalizing anything in the parks, please report it to the police immediately, or if you see damage that has been done, please report it to the Park District so that it can be repaired. Unfortunately unless vandals are caught and made to pay restitution, the expenses have to come from our tax dollars. Redskins Fall To 0-2 Record By Shari Torrence, Cheerleading Sponsor The Huntley Redskins varsity football team fell to an 0-2 record last Friday when they went up against the Orangeville Broncos at Orangeville. The final score was 53-6. Despite the fact that the Broncos have been in the state playoffs nine out of the last ten years, the Redskins challenged them head on. It was a hard hitting game that had lopsided results. The Redskins quarterback, Derek Brettman, had diffi¬ culty finding any receivers, ending up with no completed passes. On the flip side of the field, the Broncos also had zero passing yards. The game, in that sense, was equal. The running offense for the Redskins was led by junior Sean Faworski and senior Lane Linnenkohl. Linnenkohl had 34 yards on seven carries, for an average of 4.9 yards per carry. He also scored the Redskins only touchdown, which was a three yard run into the end zone. The Redskins failed on the conversion. Faworski rushed for 55 yards on 13 carries. Total rushing yards for Huntley was 139, Orangeville racked up 344 yards on hand- offs. The defense had a tough game with few shining moments. Senior Jon Armbrusher created one of those shining moments when he recovered a fumble. There were no interceptions thrown by either team. Leading the way with tackles were Robert Selling and Nick Hunter, both juniors. They each had 12 tackles. Junior Tim Lombard had an impressive seven solo tackles in the attack against the Broncos. The junior varsity football team hu had two games since the season opener. The team lost to Orangeville, 48-6. This past Monday, the junior varsity squad fell to St. Edward's, 25-0 at home. One point both squads are impressed with is the fact that there have been so many spectators at the games. Two full spectator buses have gone to each of the away games, and both coaches appreciate the support the fans give to the two squads. The next game for both Left is Colleen Rinn and her daughter, Sarah, and right is Jean Rinn and her daughter, Angela, all of Huntley. It's not unusual for babies to be bom within the same half-hour of one another, or even to both be girls, or live in the same town, but what if they're cousins? That's what unexpectedly happened to Bill it Jean Rinn and Jim it Colleen Rinn of Huntley. Both gave birth to beautiful baby girls on September 4, 1991 at Memorisd Hospital. Colleen's due date was Sept. 29 and Jean's was Sept. 8 so neither thought they would be giving birth on the same day or virtually at the same time. Sarah Catherine Rinn, daughter of Jim it Colleen, was born first at 1:06pm. Angela Marie Rinn, daughter of Bill it Jean, was bom at 1:33pm. Both girls weighed exactly 7 pounds 3 ounces and were exactly 19 1/2 inches. For both Rinn families this is their second child. Sarah has an older sister, Hannah, 17 months old and Angela's big brother, Billy is 3 years old. The girls also share paternal grandparents William it Leona Rinn of Crystal Lake and great-grandmother Loretta Anderson of Crystal Lake. Sarah's maternal grand¬ parents are Thomas McWilliams of Crystal Lake and Dolores Andrae of Galesburg, II. and great-grandparents John it Betty Kessler of Branson, Mo. and Carol McWilliams of Barrington. Angela's maternal grand¬ parents are Robert it Patricia Todd of Worthington, Ohio and great-grandparents Ethel Burkhart of Toledo, Ohio and Mildred Todd of Worthington. Redskin teams is home on Friday, September 20, at 6:00 p.m. They will go up against the team from Chicago Christian High School. Please show your support for the Redskins and join other fans in rooting them on to a victory.
