Jordis Win First Place In Contest
The ballots are in and the winners have been elected!
First Prize in The Huntley Farmside Christmas Decorating Contest goes to 9715 Coyne Station Road - Al and Alice Jordi!
Upon accepting their first place prizes, the Jordis let us know this was their last year to decorate (see the Letter To The Editor section, page 2). So, this is a nice way to finish out their ten year run of Christmas decorating. The Jordis took second place in the contest when they entered two years ago.
First prize includes; a floor lamp from Huntley Country Store, $100 gift certificate in chiropractic services from Dr. William L. Awe of Huntley Chiropractic, $50 Savings Bond from McHenry Savings Bank, $20 gift certificate from Huntley Supermarket, dinner for 2 from Wander Inn, $10 gift certificate from Huntley Pharmacy, large pizza from Luigi's Pizza, lube, oil & filter from King Chevrolet, $20 gift certificate from Tom's Vegetable Market, $10 gift certificate from Papa G's Restaurant, a painting from Strodes Colonial Vermont Furniture, coin proof set from State Bank of Huntley, "Beauty and the Beast" video and free movie rental from Video Smideo, and $15 gift certificate from Huntley Floral.
Second Prize was awarded to 11910 W. Main Street - Doug and Judy Vierck along with their daughters, Dawn and Jamie. Their prize includes: $50 gift certificate in chiropractic services from Dr. William L. Awe of Huntley Chiropractic, $15 gift certificate from Huntley Supermarket, $5 gift certificate from Huntley

Contestants who were not voted 1st, 2nd or 3rd, received free movie rentals from Video Smideo. They were Derek & Tammy Biba, 56 Baron Lane; the Roesner Family, 12804 Hemmingson; Ray Bober, 10908 N. Church; Buzz Chaves, 10610 Charles Street; Steven & Linda Horan, 10609 Charles Street; Bill & Laurie Montanye, 10612 N. Church;
and Flo Peltz, 11316 S. Myrtle Street.
One voter from each ballot box was drawn to receive a free new subscription to The Huntley Farmside News. They were: Doug Vierck, Jeff Lawyer, Peg Schultz, Dave Oldham, Mike Pierce, Ann Essig, Fran Sheets, Al Jordi, D. Hintze, Mildred Harting, and Gale Ballard.
