Huntiey Rre Board Accepts Resignation, Considers Washer/Dryer Hears Public —
Huntley Churches Collect For Rood Victims
The regular meeting of the Huntley Fire Protection District was held on June 17, 1993. Roll call showed the following present: Trustees Larry Graf, Al Allen, Jeff Homuth, Joe Gow, Maynard Williams, Chief Dave Veath and Attorney Mike Kukla.
A motion to approve the minutes of May 20, 1993, with corrections, was made by Trustee Homuth, seconded by Trustee Williams. Roll call showed all ayes.
Trustee Williams will update the McHenry County ESDA rosters for 1993-94 county year book. He also reported the economic interest statements have been received from the county.
The treasurer then presented the treasurer's report, a copy of which is attached hereto. A motion to approve the treasurer's report was made by Trustee Gow, seconded by Trustee Williams. Roll call showed all ayes.
A motion was made by Trustee Williams, seconded by Trustee Homuth, to approve the closing of CD #611680 and transferring $40,000.00 to general checking account and $42,587.44 to the money market account and also the closing of CD #660741 to pay for the truck. Roll call showed all ayes.
After a discussion, motion to approve the bills was made by Trustee Graf, seconded by Trustee Allen. Roll call showed all ayes.
Trustee Gow stated he had received Al Allen's letter of resignation from the department as requested by the county and indicated the board's appreciation for the twenty years of service Mr. Allen has given the fire department. He also indicated he regrets that the county board was forcing this action.

St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society is spearheading a collection of cleaning supplies for the flood victims in Quincy, Illinois. The Congregational and Lutheran Churches will also be participating in this collection.
Any cleaning supplies such as mops, paper toweling, Lysol, Pinesol, Spic and Span, etc. are needed and will be collected until the weekend
of July 31-Aug. 1. A truck will leave Huntley on Aug. 3 to deliver the items to
Quincy.
Anyone interested in making donations can do so by leaving the items at any of the churches, boxes are being provided at each. If anyone wishes to make a monetary donation, checks can be made payable to Catholic Charities, The Salavation Army or The Red Cross, Flood Relief Fund 1993. Check donations are tax deductible.

Senior Captain Amber Berryhill was named UDA All Star at the Universal Dance Association camp, entitling her to perform in Parade de Montmarte, Paris, France.

Adam Wallace, Nick DeBartolo, Ryan Ravagnie and Todd Weber won 2nd place in the 3-on-3 5th-6th Division at Huntley's Basketball JamFest on July 24.
Marsh Becomes Junior Memt)er Of American Angus Association
Kellie Marsh, Huntley, Illinois, is a new junior member of the American Angus Association, reports Dick Spader, executive vice president of the national organization with head¬ quarters in St. Joseph, MO.
Junior members of the association area eligible to register cattle in the
American Angus Association and take part in Association sponsored shows and other national and regional events.
The American Angus Association is the largest beef registry association in the world, with over 24,000 active adult and junior members.
First Place Champions Scott Nepermann, Brett Morley, Jim Hennig and Jerry Nepermann, of the 3-on-3 Men's Open Division of Huntley's Basketball JamFest, show off their trophy for Jim's dog, Shamus.
