| Description | Biographical Summary: Ms. Haynes, a Canton native, joined her grandmothers, aunt and cousin in the nursing profession and as Graham graduates. Having found her niche in surgery during her senior year of school, Ms. Haynes began work in the Graham Hospital Surgery Department following graduation. “”I liked being able to get in there and touch things and I like blood. It doesn’t bother me like some people. It’s a whole new world. You’re fixing something that’s wrong inside their body and that’s just really neat to me.” Interview Highlight: Besides emphasizing her family connection to nursing, Ms. Haynes also discussed the benefits of her extended Graham family, particularly the good friends she made while living in the dorm. Her description of her experiences in the surgery department highlight her unique perspective on the job she loves. |
