Flre followed the storm mnd it is said more than 100 city blocks were burned. West Frankfort badly hurt, aud other IlUnois t^wna In the tornado's path were Oorham, DeSoto, Hurst, Bnsh, Thomsonville, Parish, Benton, Naw Orient, Vergennes, Royalton, Carbondale. Caldwell, Logan, Blum- field, Carmt. Crossville, Hctj«an«- boro. In Indiana Princeton and Oriffin were tn the storm's path, with loaa ot life and great damage. Some Tennessee towns were visit¬ ed by a portion of the storm cloud, which aeems to have divided. Loes of Life Terrible Bstimatea of loss of life place it about 1000, with 3.000 or 4,000 In¬ jured, but it will require several days to get the number ot dead and the casualty list. Sereral cars went down Thursday afternoon from Flora to view the wreckage. '. MRS. JiriilA F. WI008 DIBS Death came suddenly Saturday evening to Mrs. Julia P. Wiggs, who made her home with her aon-in-law and daughter. Rev. and Hrs. R. B. Hall at the United Brethren par¬ sonage in this city. Canse ot her death was due to complication of dia¬ eaaea incident to old age. Sha was 83 jrears old, and for 10 years had mada her home with Rev. Hall and wtfe. She is survived by two sons, H. J. WlM^.pt WaUeka. III., H. W. Wiggs, of Iroquois, III.; one daughter, Mrs. Hall of Flora. Ill, and other relatives and friends. Tha body, accompanied by rela- ttres, was taken to Winslow, Ind , Tuesday moring. where fuaeral aerr¬ lees and interment occurred. Tha body was conveyed to Win- alow by B. D.
