TELEPHONE RATE RAISE HGHT PLANS LAID
¦ One of the most largely attended and most enthusiastic meetings of the Flora Commercial Club held, this year was the one Tuesday night at the city hall.
The report of the special hard load committee concerning their Ef- ' tingham trip, was made by Messrs, T. H. Simpson and R. H. Grant. The only cloud In the Clay county sky seemed to be the. misunderstanding between Clay City people and the state highway authorities. ploy an attorney to fight the proiios- ed raise.
Talks were made regarding the proposed butter factory and the me¬ morial to the World War boys. Also tbe high school conditions.
After business had been disposed of, all were called on and responded with booster talks for Flora, B|id the spirit manifested .showed thuy were on their toes in .determination to fight for Flora's progress—tbere be¬ ing not one discordant note. Reali¬ zing that the removal of the B. & O. division offices meant a temporary set-back, the booster spirit overcame any feeling of discouragement and showed the truR metal of Flora's crowd of boosters. The old town will go ahead.

To erect a building of this size within two and' a half months is sure quick time—and they are putting the structiire up in a first class man¬ ner.

In honor of.their son and wife. Mr and Mrs. Harry Keith, of Cald¬ well, Ohio, who are spending their honeymoon in Flora L. B. Keith ttlrrti wife entertained at twelve o'clock dinner Sunday. The guests were all intimate friends of ^he bride-groom and the reunion was a happy one. Mrs. Keith, assisted by her daughter. Miss Marie, served one of hor famous dinners, which was greatly appreciat¬ ed by the guests. Those present were Harry Keith and wife, J. H, Throgmorton. Loren Shepard, Toni .McCarthy, Glen Hancock. The evening's services ut tho First M. E. church last Sunday wag one of pleasure. Rev. W. I. Terhune's address "Rock of Ages" was very beautifully portrayed. Mrs. Ter¬ hune's musical utterances were in- Tarlably featured with the highest order. The church congregation is tortunate in having an organist with such musical ability to play for them on their new pipe organ.

An old-fashioned quilting was en¬ joyed at the home of Mrs. E. E. Mar¬ shall In West Flora last Friday. A bountitol dinner was spread at tbe noon hour to whicb all did ample jastice.
