DEDICATION ARRANOBBIENTS COMPLETE FOR NEXT 8UNDAX
The congregation of the Christian church has been hustling to get all arrangements made for the dedica- ,tIon of the new church building on inext Sunday at 10:30.
The dedicatory services proper vill be held at 10:30 and at 2:30 p. m., there will be held a fellowship service, and a night service at 7:30 o'clock.
Tbe pastors and congregations of the other Protestant churches of the city have shown a commendable spirit , in accepting the invitation to be pres¬ ent at-tbe 10:30 o'clock service and will have no services at that hour tn thetr own churches.
The basket dinner In the basement at noon will take care of all out ot town people.
PreUy souvenir badges; with the picture ot the church building .will be given to all who attend the ser¬ vices of the day.
Rev. C. W. Cauble, of Indianapolis, Whose picture appears at the head of jthls article, arrived Thursday,, to do some preliminary work on dedication plans.
AH who attend will be most cordi¬ ally welcomed.
HALCYON CLUB ENTERTAINED
Mrs. Anna McKnIght and Mrs. Edith Phillips were hostesses to the members ot Halcyon club at their new home on Sixth snd Sycamore streets. The evening was spent In playing somerset and a pleaaant aoctal ttme. A delicious luncheon was served by the hostesses. Tbe gu£sts were: Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Karr, Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Wednesday, May Srd, Is announced as "Patrons Day" at H. S. T. H. 8. The afternoon's program will consist ot chorus numbers, speaking, also the "try-outs" of contestants for l,awrencevllle meeting will be heard. Following the program the exhibits of various departments of the school wil be on display Inthe gymnasium. This ts an opportunity that should not be overlooked by patrons and friends ot the school to Inspect the progress of the pupils. A cordial In¬ vitation is extended .
GOV. SMALL ASKS AfD
FOB FLOOD SUFFERERS
On Monday Gov small issued a proclamation asking tor aid for the flood sufferers on the Illinois river. Howard K. Weber, president of the First National Bank, of Springfleld, is designated as chairman of the re¬ lief committee to whom the Gov. re¬ quests contributions be sent. The Red Cross is actively at work at Beardstown and other stricken towns.
FLORA GRADE TEACHERS
RE-EMPLOYED
Monday night the Flora grade achool board of education held a meeting and- re-employed all the present teachers for the next winter's term, same grades and same aalaries.

Next Sunday, April SOth, a new train schedule goes into effect on the B. tt O. railroad. The time ot the ot Sprlngfield-Shawneetown Jiranch trains are not affected.
