Tuesday's township election in Clar county showed considerable aeratching and a mixed ticket.
In Harter township three Republi- eaas and two Democrats were elected. jFoUowng are the majorities: Ralph Meyer, R, town clerk, 77; Sam Green, B. assessor, J64; Fred Relti, R, con- ^ble, 171; Sam Walton, D, commis¬ sioner, 79; C. R. Hunter, D, J. P., 12.
Loutsville township elected the en¬ tire Democratic ticket by good sised majorities.
Larktnebitrg elected Omer Jones. D. supervisor, balance ticket Bepnbll- ean. In Bible Grove Chas. Farrls, D. and Richard Webster. R, tied tor supervisor. Xenia went Depiocratlc. Songer Democratic. In Hoosier S. A. White, R, defeated Pearl McCollum, D, for supervisor. Blair elected Chas. Richardson, D, commlAstoner, balance of ticket Republican. Stan¬ ford elected Republican ticket except John A. Bissey, D. for commissioner.

The Incle¬ ment weather and bad roads prevent¬ ed him seeing many people, but he made a most favorable impression upon all he met.   .
Mr. Walker is a'well-known prom¬ inent lawyer and Is now prosecuting «ttorney of Edwards county. He hds made a splendid record In this office, stands high in his profession and is a gentleman whoae clean, up¬ right life, and public spirited good clticenship has won toy him the re¬ spect and confidence of' his home peo¬ ple and of alt who know mm.
He ts a life-long Republican, is now In the prime of itfe and would make a wise, safe and reliable mem¬ ber of the committee -^hose counsel could be depended upon. He is a representative citizen and would make a most excellent member ot the committee.
