YOUNG AND ALLEN LARGEST VOTE IN THIS COUNT
with a half million votes cast for the fourth count on Tuesday nlBbt, the contestants are going down the line at a merry clip. The big race is on in earnest now and any ocntestant who fails to work will soon be outdistanced. It is a grand game of pluck and work—on the part ot each contestant and backers. "Work to Win", is the big motto for every one who is striving to drive home the grand prise in the ides of next November.
Big Numl>er Receive Votes
Twenty-three received votes in Tuesday's count, showing that each ¦one has somebody pulling for them with substantial help. Young, Reaugh, Baker, Ruger, Kirkpatrick, Stevens, Allen. Winn Greenwood, Stanford and others are polling good votes each count and It Is a toss-up as to who may win.
Votes were cast this count for two new ones—Mlss Mildred Hemmick and Oliver West.
Contestants are helping out the judges nicely by sorting thetr votes and voting thera in bunches using the small rubber bands to be found on top of the ballot boxes. 'Thanks.

PUBLIC NOTICE
In this Issue of the Journal-Record will be seen a notice from the Com¬ mercial Telephone and 'Telegraph Company, that It has filed with the Illinois Commerce Commission sche¬ dule which will change the rates for teletihone service in Flora anfl that the change will increase the rate for all general classes ot service.
As this is of Interest to all tele¬ phone patrons. The Commercial Club urgently requests that all users of the telephone service, meet at the City Hall, Tuesday evening, Oct. 18th at 7:00 o'clock sharp to discuss these increases of charges and advise with the club as to what action should be taken to protect tbe Interest ot patrons and our city.
The Telephone Company will have representatives at this meeting.
