The District Convention of the Wo- man'svi ForeJ(rn Hisglonary Society of Oluey dintrict waa betil in tbe Florit M. E. church Tuesday anrl Weiine«ii«y of thia week. Thirty eight ladiea from abroad were present repnaentinn; the aeveDteeo sooietiee in tbe district. An elegant reception waa tendered them Monday evening at the reaidence of Mr. A. E. Golden.
The conreotion opened Tuesday morn¬ ing witb devotional eierclaca led by the district president, Mra. W. C. .Sibley of Fairfield. After roll call by tbe secre¬ tary, Mrs. Jennie Johnson of Nentun, an address of welcome was delivered hy Mrs. L. W. Thrall. Mra. C. D. Kendall of Newton responded. After appoint¬ ment of various committees, reports were heard from tbe different auxiliaries
