The Flora Commercial Club, at whaae invitation the members of the Soathern Illlnois Editorial Asaoela¬ tlon are to me«t In our eity on Fri¬ day. March 23rd, Is now busy arrang¬ ing details tor comfort and enter¬ tainment of the newspaper guests.
The program is now being arranged fo rthe meeting, and It will be wortb the while of every editor south of Springfleld, to be, here.
A novel faature of the entertain¬ ment will be the showing by tbe In¬ tertype people of a tour reel film showing details of manufacture of tjrpesetting machines In their big Brooklyn factory .
At six o'clock, in the Otaristian churcb basement, the editors will be guests of the Commercial Club at a banquet. A nice program has been arranged for the banquet, the ad¬ dress of the evening to be delivered by Hon. John H. Harrison of the Danville Commercial-News, on "The Newspaper in Community Develop¬ ment." An 8-plece orchestra will furnish music.
Commercial Club Committees
Monday afternoon the executive committee of the Commercial Club held a special meeting, to consider important matters. Committee'^ were appointed for the editorial meet¬ ing o fMarch 2;i, as follows:

A resolution was passed favorluK building of the new I. C. railroad from Edgewood to Metropolis.
Two committees were appointed on annual banquet, as follows:
To fix date and make arrange¬ ments: President f. H. Simpson. Secretary R. J. Cunningham. J. C. Scudamore, T. J. Friend. L. M. Wood.
To prepare and Introduce resolu¬ tion changing annual oues: H. F. Pixley, W. A. Karr, E. E. Allen.
PARTY AT THE BRADFORD HOMK
On Friday evening of last week a shower was given In honor of Mrs. Ralph Meyer at the home of Miss Lily Bradford on East Nortb Avenue. The members of the Karama club and a few guests were present, all bringing dainty gifts. Several pretty and ap¬ propriate gifts were sent by absent members.
An enjoyable social time was spent. Tbe major part of the evening was spent in sewing. At the close the guests enjoyed delicious refresh¬ ments.
Those present: Mrs. Ralph Meyer, Mrs. Geo. Farrls, Mrs. Hazel Stewart, Mrs. Oscar Brissenaen, Miss Edna Marshall, Miss Lily Bradford.
Guests of the Club: Miss Mabel Shrlner, Mlss Mary Kacherofske.

Sam C. James has purchased the old Parker homestead on Main street and Washington avenue. He has moved the old house from the corner lot to the lot east and is remodeling It into an attractive home. He is making plans tq build a modem new bungalow on the old site. These two houses will add greatly to the sonth residential part of Flora.
Mr. James, wbo has an Interest in Flora real estate, has been In the building business for years and has constructed quite a number of at¬ tractive and modern dwellings in Flora.

The program renaered at the First M. E. church on Sunday nigbt com¬ posed chiefly of music. There was a good attendance tbt tbis monthly musical, and the numbers were well rendered .
The choir bas never failed to please and no matter what the size of tbe audience there Is nothing but unus¬ ual and very favorable commenda¬ tion for the members of the choir, their organist, Mrs. Terhnne, and tor the members of the orchestra. Indi¬ vidually and collectively.

Ed C. Coil whose realflence Is on Washington Ave., ia having an ad¬ dition built on his house. Workmen are now busy at the Job and when finished, will greatly Increase the value ot the property. Two rooms, pantry as well as a nack porch are being constructed. Whea eonpleted the house will contain seven rooms. J. S. Oill la tbe contractor.

Considerable interest was mani¬ fested last Tuesday by voters in the Flora city primary election, there being 670 votes polled.
