Flora citisens and Republicans from every section of Clay county were here to greet Mr. Deneen and be re¬ ceived a fiiie reception. The meeting was held In library hall and Ex-Oov. Deneen was Intro- dneed by county chairman F. H. Simpson. He made a mnst exoellent speech of 30 minutes, lauding tbe aehlevementa of the Republican na¬ tional admlniatration. At conclusion of the meeting Mr nnd Mra. Slmpaon entertained Mr.' Deneen In their homR, after a'hlch he drove to Fairfield, in company with Congressman T. S. Williams, where be made an address that night. Mr. Deneen felt a personal loss lo not being able to meet and greet his good friend of former days, Col.
