The Charity That Lives
Lont And Is Kind
Our Oak Mound correspondent in tills week's lettor, recites an Incident that has a deeper meaning tban the record of a fact. Recenlly Mr, and Mrs, Bascom Lambert who reside in tiiat cominunil.y embraeing a part of Ilarter and Sunger townships had the mlsfurtune to lose their home by Hre, Our currespiindent tells uf wiiat hap¬ pened in the folluwing words:
"Talk alKiul your quick work; would you believe it, witii sucii weatlier we have been liaving; just tiiree weeks from Hie day .Mr, L'iiiibert's bouse burned down bo moved Into a new one. p;very .stick of limber had to be cut and hauled to the mill ami sivvod, then the lumber iiad to lie iiaiiled to Ills pluce, if the weuther iiud been good und lliere hud been less sickness in Hie neighborhood, tliey could huve moved suuiier. We think every matt in the near vicinity whu was able, helped une ur more days on the house. Now they are back home, and if any¬ thing better tban before."
This brief iiarative tells of real charity and a true neighburly com¬ munity spirit. It is wortii wl.ile to live In a community like tlils. It Is wortii while to live in a county wliero such commuiiilies exist. The gotxi neighbtirs whu help a bruther In his time uf need, wili be abtindaiitiy re¬ warded and blessings wiii come to tiieir coinuiuiilly.
