Mayor Krank Nichols, Jesse Meyer, Harrison Wyatt and Sam Hemphill making a total of forty one who were .seated at the tables, each one being given a fancy liat or hood for occasion which when doned give a most grotesque appear¬ ance to some of the gentlemen who liad always regarded tliemselves as handsome, but guud fellow-ship pre¬ vailed and no one could wunder at It, when the great feast which liad been prepared by Mrs. Howman was served, consisting of roast tiuail, oyster dressing, sweet peas, maslied putatoe.s, pickels and hot biscuits served in i|uantitles suttlcient to meet the .sharpened appetite uf every one even before tlie last course of brick cream cake and cotlee. Mrs. Bowman was assisted by lier mother Mrs. Mary Cunningham and the Misiies Dolly Greenlaw and Duris Simpson. How much the splendid repast was appreciated jwas attested by a unanimous vute of cordial thanks to Mrs. Howman who prepar¬ ed It and the other ladies who help¬ ed serve it. Everything was perfect and everybody was full of good cheer. It is proper to state In this cunnect- lun that the iiuails were supplied by the clulis game cummittee consist¬ ingof E. A. .Medley I'resldent, Chas. Knight, Logan Tlbl» and James Kurguson. who called In tliat old veteran and prince of hunters J. Bowman to help tiiem carry the game.
