The social rooms of the M. E, church were the scene of a pleasant social gathering Wednesday night, when tbe new church members were given a cordial reception by the con¬ gregation. About forty were re¬ ceived In full connection with the church as a result of the recent special meetings conducted by Evan¬ gelist Thomas, The parlor and dtnlng room decorations were of a patriotic nature, bouquets of spring flowers were In evidence, A miscellaneous program of music and readings de¬ lighted all. Light refreshments were served and the guests of honor and the entire company passed a delight¬ ful social time. Rev, M. C, Foltz ¦gave an Interesting talk followed by others representing the various de¬ partments of the church.
Miss Inetta McCaully was hostess to the Beta Gamma club girls Mon¬ day night. The girls enjoyed them¬ selves as only a happy crowd of young folks can. Music and games and de¬ lightful social time. Misses Zoe Friend and Buth Golden were guests of the club. The hostess served
