V , Sept. '.». McClure and Sturm, Flora, 111. Gentlemen: - Wili give you a brief account of what we have been doing the past few (lays, as we have been on Hie go most all of the time. Last Wednes¬ day, we spent Hie day in Toronto, Canada, leaving here at 7:Iii in the morning and reluming al alxiut 10:J0 al night. We wenl by trolley to I'ort Dalhousle, where we took the steamer "Dalliousle City'' across Lake On¬ tario, a sail of about two and one lialf hours. II was very foggy on Hie lake, conseiiuenlly Hie boat did not go as fast as usual. On arriving In Toronlo, we were met by a large siglil-seelng car. wliich look us for alKiiit an hour and a half's ride over Hie cily, slopping at all the places of interest. One of the most interest¬ ing features of this trip was Hie ride through Rosedale. known as Hie wealtliy part of Toronlo. I'p unlll a few years ago, this part of the city was all in farm lands and conld be Ixniglil for .W.iKi per acre. Now it is all built np with eleganl Iiomes. no two. alike, and is owned principally by millionaires and miilt-millioiialres. We liad diiiiierat the Walker House, one of the large hotels of Toronto. We intended taking Hie two o'clock boat back to Niagara liut owing to Hie fact thai we arrived just in lime to see it pull out, we spent the remainder of Hie afternoon tak¬ ing in son e of the large stores, re¬ turning by Hie '"i:.'!" Imat. Toronto is a heauliful city of about .¦Mii.iKnipopu- latioii situated on Toronto Hay. II Is especially noled for Ils many churches, liaving about loii In all.
