The tlllrd division of Clay Countj''s selective soldiery enrolled under the government's llrstcall left LoulsvlUe, the county seut, and passed tlirough Flora, bound for Carap Zacliery Tay¬ lor, Ky., yesterday, Oct. 3rd. In ar¬ my terms a division of men used to mean 2000 infantrymen or more, or four full rei;lments, but In this case the word division really means but twenty-three men. Tliese men, or rather boys, were entrained at Louis¬ ville at 10:24 a. m., reaching Flora at 10:45, where they were transferred to a special un the main line, and in less than thirty minutes thereafter were .speeding on their way to camp and the eventualities of an unknown fu¬ ture. Sertjeants Wm. Floy Mallnskl, of Flora, and Jacob V. Bryan, of Lou¬ isville, were selected to liave cliarge of the squad until camp was reached. An Immense crowd of people atten¬ ded the assembly and departure' of this contingent at Louisville. A " short program, directed by Capt. Cul¬ bertson, was carried out at the Court I House, the principal features of j which were stirring, patriotic speecli- ifts by Col. Randolpli Smith and Judge 'L A. M. Kose.
