Tlic speaker called altenlion to the fad lhal milk is very easily contaminated ami thai unless the dairy premises were kept .scrupulously clean, that lillh of the nastiest kind is bound to get into tlie product and that most of such dirt goes into solution and cannot l)e strained out; nor can 11 be .seen. Each of the meetings were Interest ing and Hie people of Klora and vi¬ cinity showed a deep interest thru¬ out. Much go(3d was done and at the close a vote was taken unanimously thanking Mr. Mattliews, Dr. Owen, Managers Sheeti of the Casino and I'irtle of the Opera Iiouse for their generous donation of free use of tlieir hou.ses for the meellngs, also giving an expression of appreciation to the wonnans club for liieir good work in securing Hie meetings. Klora was fortunate in securing tills meeting, as tho commission has demands for similar ones from every part of our .state. Ladies Aid Society Meet The Ladies ,\id Society of the Methodist EplM^opal churcli that mel lasl week at Hie home of Mrs. Vi. F. Chaney was one of more than usual inlerest: not only tlie yearly reports were re;id and otticers for the ensuing year elected, but it was al.so a report of the ingalhering of years of labor. The day was a beautiful hill day. Carriages and autos con,eyed the ladies oul to the meeting. About lliirty members and live guests were present. The president, .Mrs. Gahan, called Hie meeting lo order and afler Hie regular routine of business Was linished the secretary. .Mrs. C S. .Mitchell, gave a tine report of Hie past year's work. Slie lold of the many calls thai had been made on Hie strange, the sick and the sliulins.
