Landing at the beautiful and busy town of Fairfleld, we start up the .•street looking out for business, and in a few steps we are at tlie grocery of "Ellis & Day" who we tind almost to busy to give orders for more good needed, but passing on up tiie street we And other merchants all in the same way, and as we paas the great '•Sexton Factory" we hear the busy hum of the machinery as the tliree hundred employes rusli the goods ttirough, where they come out as tlnlshed garments, ready for the packers and shippers to send away to the different parts of the country.
But getting up to the central part of the town we tind the town full of people, merchants on the jump, and draymen Imuling great loads of merchandise, farmers out with their wagons i>r other vehicles full of goods Just Ixiught, but we also tind groups of men who having Hnished their day's business, and liaviug a little time U> spare are talking; politics; but instead of the tierce fire of (tenmichition we hear more mwlenitc language: the passion of the early campaign lias died out. and the people we tind are talking more soljerly of what is beat for them and the country.
