The following Is a continuation of the list of the enlisted men of this county, still In military service, or mustered out and returned home:
Everette S. Colelasure, age 21, son -of Mrs. Nellie Colelasure. Enlisted at Springfield, III., as a musician-, was -stationed at LcMans, France: trained -at Camp Wadsworth, S. C: sent to France with 57th Pioneer Infty; transferred to 329tli Infty. band. Mustered out at Camp Sherman, May ^, 1»19.
F. S. Trago, age 28, son of Oscar and Elizabeth Trago, Flora, III. En¬ listed at Aberdeen, Wasii., and as¬ signed to the shtp-bulldlng service; now stationed Atwrdeen, Wash.
Claud E. Mathews, age 22, son of James and Mary E. Mathews, Flora, III. Enlisted at Flora; trained at University of Chicago, and assigned as mechanic to motor service; pro¬ moted corporal: discharged Dec. 8, 1918.
Earl Shepard, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. P. Shepard, Flora. Enlisted wltli Detroit, Midi., Infantry. Stationed at Harshback, Germany, with Army of Occupation, April U, lOlil: trained at Battle Creek, Mich., and Camp McArtliur, Waco, Texas; promoted to -corporal. Arrived in IT. S. May '.), 1919: now at Camp Grant to be mus¬ tered out of service.
Merrill Charleston, age 20, son of Mrs. Mattie Dove, Flora. Enlisted at Jefferson Harracks, 2nd Engineer; trained at Camp Maker, Texas: pro¬ moted to flrst-class private. Gassed and wounded Chateau Thierry drive. Mustered out May 7, 1919, at Camp Grant.
Pearl E.Oliver, age 25, son of Mrs. Clara Edman, Flora. Enlisted at Breese, III.: trained at Camp Taylor, Sherman and Mills, and assigned to military police: now stationed at Le Mans, France.
McKlnley Cunningham, age 19, son of W. F. and Clara Cunningham, Stanford Tp. Enlisted at St. Louis In tlie marine service: trained at Paris Island, S. C, and Quantico, Va.; now stationed at Grieves, France.
John M. Cunningham, age 22, son of W. F. and Clara Cunningiiam, Stanford Tp. Enlisted at Flora; trained at Camps Taylor and Sher¬ man, and assigned to 84th Infty.; af¬ terward transferred to 91st l)lv., 36l8t Infty. Landed in New York from France A pi. 14, and sent to Camp Grant, Rockford, III., to be mustered out.
Pearl Whitt.age 22,.son of Irene and James Whitt. Enlisted at Flora, HI.
Trained at Camps Dlx and Lee, and assigned to Infantry; mustered out at Camp Grant, RockXord, 111., Apl. \3. 1919.
William S. Rusk, age 24,sohof Mrs. John Rusk, Clay City route. En¬ listed at Flora: trained at Camp Custer, Mich., and Ft. Totten, N. Y., and assigned to Field Artillery. Mustered out at Camp Grant Jan. 2.t, 1919.
R. G. Blackburn, age 33, son of Hugh Blackburn, Xenla, 111. Enlisted at Xenia in the V. S. navy and now at sea. Promoted to lieutenant.
Neal William Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tlios. Adams. Enlisted at Flora, III.; trained at Camps Taylor and Sherman; assigned to Infantry, and now stationed with army of oc¬ cupation at Hundsanegs, Germany.
Clarence H. Grimes, age 27, son of John H. and Laura F. Grimes, Flora, III. Enlisted at Flora: trained at Camps Gordon, Ga., and Merritt, N. J., and assigned to infantry service. Wounded twice In left liand in battle. Mustered out May 8, 1919.
Cliarles S. Grlme.s, age 24, son of John H. and Laura F. Grimes, Flora, III. Enlisted at Flora: trained at Camps Gordon, Ga., and Merritt N. J., and assigned to infantry. Killed Nov. 4, 19IS, on the Thiancourt front, while on patrol duty.
Howard Brown Dillman, age 18, son of W. H. and Cora Dillman, Louisville, III. Enlisted at St. Louis, and assigned to S. A. T. C. service, Washington, D. C. Mustered out Dec, 18, 1918.
Lieut. Lowell J. Kepp, age 24. son of Mr. and Mrs. Cornejius Kepp. En¬ listed In medical veterinary corps at Mattoon, III.: trained in Camps Sevier, S. C, Forrest, Ga., and Wadsworth, N. C; sent to France July 1, 1918, and now stationed in France.
Towns New Superintendent at Fairfield
Prof. O. A. Towns, now superinten¬ dent of tiie Cartervllle, III., city schools, has been appointed by tlie board of education to be superinten¬ dent of the Falrtield city schools for the ensuing year.
Prof. Towns was born and reared in Wayne county and is one of the many boys from old Wayne that have nlMe good in tlieir cliosen professions.Since leaving here he has been superinten¬ dent of tiie township higli school ab Flora, and served as superintendent of tlie Louisville, III., city scliools Mrs. Towns Is a sister of Dr. E.
