There are some people in Flora as well a* other part.s of C'lay county whose names will go down in poster¬ ity a.s the pioneer gixMj roads builders and 710 mention of the memorial trip from Vincennes, Ind. to St. Louis on Tuesday, .luly 1'). lill.i, will ever be complete without statliiif that Mayor Frank S. Nichols accompanied by his brotlier E. S. Nichols of Rlnard, .1. Bowman and .less Meyer made the trip from start to tinish and kept up with the procession in spite of sever¬ al mishaps. It will be recorded also that R. S. Jones, president of the as¬ sociation, was made a welcome wcu- pant of evgry cAr and was tlie popu¬ lar roan of the procession being the only one who was bedecked with bou¬ quets by the fair ladies who gathered in great numbers to see Bob and the procession.

I.,ogan Tibbs had the quartet, Sam Hemphill, Rex Cunningliam, Chlorus McGannon and Ben Watson. The splendid music made hy tlie boys seemed to have a good etiect and Log¬ an got there and back without a wabble. The boys did sure blow their own horns on this trip to everybody's deliglit.
