The parties of record before the Property Tax Appeal Board
(hereinafter PTAB) are Guy Suesuntisook, the appellants, by
attorney Lisa Marino with the law firm of Marino and Associates
in Chicago and the Cook County Board of Review.
The subject property consists of a 4,250 square foot parcel of
land containing a 108-year old, masonry, three-story, multi-family
dwelling. The improvement contains 3,843 square feet of
living area, three baths, and a full, finished basement. The
appellant, via counsel, argued that there was unequal treatment
in the assessment process of the improvement as the basis for
this appeal.
In support of the equity argument, the appellant submitted
assessment data and limited descriptions of three properties
suggested as comparable to the subject. Black and white
photographs of the subject and two of these properties and a
brief from the appellant's attorney were also submitted. The
data reflects that the properties are located within five blocks
of the subject and are improved with a multi-family dwelling.
Information was not provided on the design, construction or age
of the properties. Photographs of two properties appear to show
that one property is frame and one is masonry. The improvements
range in size from 3,364 to 4,386 square feet of living area and
in improvement assessments from $6.20 to $7.05 per square foot of
